How did you make money before current gen came out vs how you make money now?

Used to do nothing but contact missions before they made payouts time based. Fast foward to now, making money is easier thanks to the ceo wharehouses and biker businesses.

making money on last gen - find a modder and grab 20k bags; making money on current gen - glitch as much as possible (pac stan+ infinite MC supplies and the occasional dupe glitch)

Used to do missions, now hit a glitch as hard as possible while they are active. I'll do CEO crates if they ever get ontop of glitches.

Contact missions, races, deathmatches (with forced+pickups), other combat jobs, selling cars, staying out of public free roam, and spending carefully. Most jobs were played via playlists and just longer sessions in general. I pretty much do the same as I did back then, but you can add double pay jobs and Premium Races to the list.

One of the last things I did on old-gen (when I wasn't planning to get a new-gen system) was doing 28 days of daily objectives and then abused that glitch for 4 hours like a rented red-headed stepchild mule (did the 10-second wheelie objectives 101 times). Then I bought a Luxor Deluxe because it wasn't going to matter... oh well.

 

I legitimately did the DO 28-day streaks 15 times, which let me play just 10-45 minutes per day, yet bank some decent cash in between updates.

I was in the 300's already, so the RP went up, but rank numbers didn't fly too fast

I bought my own Bati RR after that to commemorate the event.

For me LG was all about missions, heists, car sales and store robberies. Also, waiting on the occasional FR event with smuggler craft for an easy 30k.

 

Now it's all about VIP work, Biker work, and car sales (will be uber car sales after the DLC). Have barely touched a mission or heist. My new X1 didn't come with a controller that has a headset jack, so lack of communication has not been user friendly.

on ps3... modder gave me billions, that got wiped, then i did glitches but ran out of money, then i did heist, lots of heist.

 

on ps4 i just do freeroam events, 2X events, ceo/biker work with the occasional character switch on the side

Missions, which somebody my level LITERALLY CAN'T play. Get kicked if joining lobbies, host them and people quit out when they see your level. People act like low levels have a hard time but us 500+'s have it worse.

And DOs, I'll do them until I get something impossible like Vehicle DMs..... lol, no chance in hell you'll do that. Not even on LG.

I occasionally will do the odd ceo crate and solo mc work if I'm feeling really masochistic but heists is where it's at for me, the new way of doing the finale is addicting.

That's funny, I actually quite enjoyed vehicle deathmatches only as far as tanks. One of my very first things I did in GTAO was a tank deathmatch on the hills somewhere which reminded me very much of the game "World of Tanks". I won and it was very satisfying. Jets not so much a fun deathmatch for me but very interesting just to be a part of a deathmatch where people were so profound at fighting in Jets, though I might've won more or less. Well, everything current gen/pc has, minus the ceo/biker stuff and freeroam events, no? Scriptkiddies aside, cheated money stinks. Last gen wouldn't be so enjoyable to me, since a really big part of my earnings comes from vip missions..
