GTA Melee Executions Animations - is this real?

Came across this video on youtube and I can't say I've ever seen any of this ingame, in DMs or anything?

Was it cut? Is it a new thing?

These are all in the game. You just need to be in the stealth mode and/or not in the fighting stance to do them IIRC.

Stealth mode as in? When you click in the stick and you go into a sort of crouch?

On a slightly similar note how do you do the Joint Celebration thing? Back slap, high five, bro love etc?

 

I saw it in the options menu but have never actually seen them used.

stealth execution is pretty easy , especially NPCs . just enter stealth mode and slowly approach your victim from behind

 

for normal executions , you have to attack the NPC suddenly or with good timing right when they're surprised ( i.e you're running toward them but they're not pushed & express their suprise , you just need quickly hit melee buttons ) . but aganist player , they must be weakened first or at least had firearm pointed at you

 

in both cases , it is less effective aganist police , marines and security guard because of their ridiculous reflex allows them to counter-attack ( regardless how quiet you've approached them ) . though they cannot dodge execution with firearms , but this will attract attention . also you cannot decide of how your execution at your will ( so whetever barehanded , you usually get Slapping than headbutting someone )

 

just like firearm melee , execution cause one hit and inevitable when the animation plays ( even if other player kill the executioner )

Some of those in that video I've never seen and they're freakin awesome.

 

My favorite out of all of them is the headbutt, I remember when I first did it to someone, I was like, holy sh*t!!

 

I really like the axe animations as well.

I've done them all myself when testing my fight club deathmatches. You have to aim the left stick in different directions to get those different attacks. Most of those attacks are really hard to accomplish at will tho. This is why I suggested an update to the mele system. They have all these sick moves in the game but we rarely see them bcuz of how they must be executed. If R* would take my suggestion we can then enjoy these type of attacks a lot more. Here is my suggestion. Like and spread the word please and hopefully we'll get this in a DLC soon.

Add to that list the gardeners outside Madrazo's house, whom I'm convinced are highly trained security.

You can do them all with the intimidation biker mission a lot, and in other cases too. I usually record them with r* editor to mess around with for pics.
