Picking up players in water with Heli Or drop ladder Option

I tried to pick up a player who was in the water at the end of the Prison Break heist as he pulled his cord way to late and had to swim for 2 minutes to get to shore, Anyway, I was was the pilot of the buzzard, so I was always wondering if you could pick up someone if you got your skids into the water, realistically yeah, grab on or climb in. I got as low as to drop the skids in, but it wouldnt let him in. It would be nice if they could fix it where you could do that, or at least be able to drop a ladder you could grab on and climb up. Or just hang on the bottom like the movies,

 

Also maybe add some Helicopter rescue missions as well.

I forget which helicopter was used, but I was able to get inside one of them. It's a glitch that was maybe patched?

 

Regardless, a ladder would be great. And maybe some shark repellent bat spray too.

Yeah, I've been picking up people from water and cliff sides for a long time this way. As long as you are close enough, they will teleport into the chopper.

They should've just allowed us to rappel down like the special agents whatever they are do when you have a 4 star wanted level.

actually its possible , but only available via merryweather helicopter pickup ( since maverick had 2 rappeling winch and rear passengers cannot change seats ) . its like the helicopter must be higher than skyscraper but high enough to rappel ( the command button only appear when these conditions are met )

 

though rappeling renders both pilot and the one rappeling vulnerable

I think they might be able to teleport in, but it's quite risky, and I'm not sure I'd risk it in a heist.

 

But yeah, we should have ladders or rappels; would be great. Good for putting snipers on rooftops too (you can try to do that now (hovering near), but they get a rough landing.

Well, only to rappel from the heli to the ground...you could do that in theory anywhere, but the helicopter has to be flying low enough, so dropping at ground 0 so to speak is pretty unlikely.

You can grab people out of the water with aircraft. Usually, I'm still in the Hydra, so I get really low and have people climb aboard and just hover them to land like a ferry.

 

The option to actually use something to get them out of the water without risking sucking up 430 gallons of water into an exhaust port just by hovering near the ocean would be nice.

You can pick up swimmers but it's sketchy because the waves aren't synchronized perfectly so there's a good chance your helo will dip in the waves on someone's screen. If that happens sometimes they can't get in at all after (once they hear the winding down sound). If you try it don't try to follow the swimmer, just try to hover and let them swim to you. That's the easiest way imo.

In case it helps, It's much easier to pick up swimmers if you already have someone in the co-pilot seat. The others will teleport to the back seats instead of trying to open the door. Hope that helps.

Ill try it again then, It was the first time. So maybe the other person wasnt using the right key to get in? Maybe I was too close to the water?
