EFLC Multiplayer?

Is the multiplayer still working on this game or what? I logged in to GFWL just fine but I can't log in to social club, keep getting the "could not connect, please check your network connection" message. And I can't access the online ingame without being logged in to social club.

 

What's the solution? I keep trying to connect to social club but its not working, I can log in to the website just fine though with my account.

 

Is there a workaround to playing online without needing social club? My EFLC is updated to the second patch. Why the f*ck they ever made social club a requirement to play multiplayer in the first place..
