Spoiler Pretty much everything except Santa Barbara, the final boss fight, a few flashback scenes etc. We had an hour and half of leaked footage (not consequential, but it showed some very important things about the story) and the ending leaked only a few days before release via text. Plus, there were a few clips here and there that got released before the big leak that no one cared about for some reason lol Ah, there was also that fake spoilers list that came from /v/. Needless to say that it was all fake and it was quite easy to notice, but it's what most of TLOU2 haters based their hate on. a Hideo Kojima post. Spoiler - Story: It's well-done, but not as good as its predecessor in terms of believability and the overall cast of characters. Compared to the adventure of Joel and Ellie in the 2013 game, I had to suspend my disbelief further to believe that two teenagers are capable of traveling across states to eliminate well-armed, ruthless armies with the hope that they'll find and kill an adversary. I cannot see how a character as small as Ellie would be capable of striking ruthless adult men and taking them as hostages between her hands. As for Abby, her build is unjustifiable in a world in which food is rationed and steroids don't exist. This giant Seraphite women is another example for story writing and character design that went extreme to the side of fiction, which lowers the authenticity factor of the in-game world. For me, this is compensated by the narrative arc and the theme of Cycle of Revenge between Ellie and Abby, in addition to the believable and engrossing acting that's enhanced by an impressive state-of-the-art facial motion capture technology. 8.5/10 - Graphics and Sound: Naughty Dog, as always, pushes the envelope once again. Combined with the impressive motion capture technology (body + face), the characters' models are the most believable in any game I've played, and arguably, in any game out there. The environments, the interiors and exteriors, the gore, the water, the reflections, the sound effects and original score are impressive and breathtaking. I still find Red Dead Redemption 2 to be overall more impressive in this aspect, especially in terms of lighting and draw distance, and when considering the scope of both games. 10/10 - Gameplay and Fun: The Las Of Us 2 is easily the best third-person shooter that I've played. The animations are insanely well-done and pretty to the eyes. There's an insane amount of details that goes into each animation and how it blends with other animations, and this doesn't happen at the expense of enjoyable and responsive control. The pacing is great and the variety of enemy encounters are challenging enough on moderate difficulty (though I don't look for too much challenge in my games). The enemy's AI and animations are the best in class, and I liked how each enemy had a unique personality and a name. 10/10 Overall Score: 9.5/10 In comparison, the predecessor had a 10/10 rating from me back in 2013. Most emotional moment: When Ellie smells Joel's jacket early in the story. This particular scene hit me hard and It's not only because Joel Miller is one of my favorite fictional characters alongside Arthur Morgan and John Marston, but it's the fact that this will eventually happen to me and any of us. You know, the fact that someone who I dearly love could pass away while I'm still alive and I can still feel and smell their existence in their belongings and clothes. It's very emotional. I wish Joel would’ve told Ellie something like, “I was given a second chance to protect you in a way I couldn’t with Sarah.” Just explain a little more why he saved her. I’m not sure why people are upset with this game. Is it Abby? I thought she kicked ass and had every right to kill Joel. I hope it’s not the LGBQT stuff. This is 2020, grow up if that’s true. It’s a perfectly good game, and picks up right where the last one ended with being a complete downer and ending with no hope for the future. Maybe a little hope, but not a ton. Hillcrest, Seraphites, Rat King, THE SNIPER! Oh boy it's gonna be tough. I appreciate they gave us the ability to adjust the film grain and modifiers are fun to use.
