not transparent passive mode

Like I said, you can tell by the blip on the minimap. In addition if the passive player wasn't ghosted they could, for example, make the countdown timer vissible above the player when he clicks 'dissable passive mode'.

I hope you're not being serious.

You can go out of passive mode when you're in a safe place.

 

If you want to PvP you don't need to use Passive mode.

 

Go somewhere else to go out of passive mode and not next to someone to get cheap kills.

i have a simple question why non PvP players should be treated as "second category" customers. you put non transparent for all and you keep the icons on map. where is the problem? before a PvP attack you look at the radar to see where enemy/prey is right. so you do this, and everyone is happy. no need to search for complicated :colgate:

I'll admit, non-transparent passive would be great for car shows. But I fully understand why it won't (and shouldn't) happen. It would turn free roam, especially CEO/MC sales, into even more of a $#!% show than it already is.

I'm PVPing over 3 years now in this game, everyday, and people would abuse it because the blips are hardly working right.

 

And it would force you even more to look every single time on the map if someone is passive if not.

Them being invisible is good, great way to know if they are passive or not...i really wonder why anyone would like this to be different.

 

It is pretty much the problem in GTAO old gen, you never know if someone is passive unless the icon above their head or on the map is not bugged....and it is bugged like that almost half of the time.

I don't miss old gen's terrible passive system. Sometimes I'd like to just cruise around and listen to dumb arguments between players without being hunted down by some idiot simply for playing the game.

No, I don't want passive toggling to get abused even further. Imagine trying to snipe a jet out of the air and thinking you're just missing until you realise he was actually in passive the whole time with no indication.

 

Exactly. Passive Mode with no transparent is a dumb idea.

Indicating the use of passive mode on the mini map only does not suffice at all. You have to be able to pick out the passive players in a crowd and under duress or there will be additional ways to abuse passive mode. As others have already pointed out not only in this thread but in many others that came before passive mode needs quite a bit of its problems adressed before we add new ones to the list.

Passive is fine the way it is. I like to be able to be almost unvulneverable (did i spell that right?) when i'm passive. Only annoying thing is that it can be abused, but i'm sure on old gen passive was abused too.

That shows that you don't play to much in a free mode. I love playing VIP Jobs and biker jobs, and you can't even imagine the number of people who abuse the passive mode... It is really stupid not to be able to use the passive mode in a Swift Deluxe, but you can activate passive mode in a lazer or tank, vehicles that are in game to kill other players. And now that they are including so many new functions to free mode (VIP, CEO, BIKERS, EXPORT / IMPORT...) makes the passive mode a feature that annoys those who play this. Do you imagine a passive mode in The Division? Absurd, right? Well here I think the same.

I do, and I don't wanna change lobbies if I just make a break, go shopping or tuning. The problem isn't the passive mode itself, the problem is you can get into it after you killed someone. Just make a 1 or 2 min cooldown after you kill somebody and it is harder to abuse it. Oh and a unbalanced jet in the first place. It could be pretty easy to balance that sh*t, just have them pay for the amo after some time....

There are still people with hundreds of millions of cheated money around. Giving the jets ammo costs wouldn't solve anything. Besides, making money is easy peasy, wouldn't even be a problem for legit players.

The proper way to balance the jets is removing the explosive round for normal roubds OR incendiary rounds(the script for incendiary rounds is in the game already, you can trigger it by cheat codes on SP) that don't cause as much damage as the explosives roubds that blow anything not armoured with one bullet.

 

And also nerf the armor, to be able to take it down with 4 heavy sniper shots.

Yes, I would like that. It was yet another stupid decision by Rockstar for GTAOnline, which is essentially a monument to bad game design decisions.

I'd rather choose PvP or passive sessions.

All PvP or all passive, no mix, so no one is tranparent.

i want "ceo associate" passive mode.

 

entirely interactive with the world.guns, turrets, everything.

can get hit by other player cars.

but cant actually take physical damage from it. and other players cant lock onto you or shoot you.

and you cant shoot them, obviously.
