We need passive income in GTA Online

The goal of every entrepreneur is to create a system that makes you money while you sleep. Currently there is nothing of this nature in GTA online.

I think Rockstar should add the option to have your cargo and import/export business work on their own without you having to do missions.

But the catch is, you should have to reach a certain level in your business first to activate this option. Make it so we have to grind hard and early and reach this level by putting in real time. Then once achieved we can sit back and truly reap the rewards of our labor.

This makes it so not any Joe schmoe can set up a business and get paid for nothing. But it rewards those who put in the time and frees them up to do other things and invest their money and time in other ventures.

I need that in real life more.

I mean, the whole idea of playing a game, is to play the game, not to have the game play itself.

The gold CEO trophy should earn that.

Otherwise, I'm happy that my Coke business has a Sampo in the back overflowing with supplies, so all I have to do is delivery missions. It's not the same thing as the businesses in Vice City, but it's as close to passive income as Online can get

Exactly. This would free up more time for you to play the game and do other things in the game rather than just those missions to make money.

You can never have enough money in this game with all of the things you can buy so passive income would be very useful

How about adding your idea as Partnership system ?

Becoming a partner with someone allows him to spawn your character in his session as NPC and do missions and earn money and once you wake up, all the money your character gained will be added to your bank account.

Similar to how you can invite Trevor or Michael as Franklin and go to the bar or do some activities.

That's a great idea. Partnering or merging with other CEOs would be cool. Acquisitions and buying out other CEOs companies would be cool as well

But since the prices of everything in the game keep going up, either they should make the payouts a bit more generous or give us ways to earn a little bit of money without actually doing anything. Something small like 50-100k a day would already establish a lot of breathing room.

If I was a level 1 player coming into GTA Online right now, the amount of content in it and the road to the top would be daunting to say the least.

So I could grind up to this level and not play the game for 3 months and receive money for not playing the game? Yeah I don't see this business model kicking off.

i agree with Forza harrd. real life and game gameplay are 2 different things. but in the wishlist thread i made a suggestion to be able to purchase properties and rent the apartments and garages

You already have that, more or less... Start using motorcycle facilities... To keep invested time as low as possible, just one facility (coke) though.. Fill it up and let the minions do their thing, while you put your character in a corner (rubberband, or some weight on the keyboard (so he/she keeps walking) and after awhile (5hours) you have a shipment ready... Tactic I use to great financial benefit... Once and awhile you check if resupplies are necessary, which you can buy or steal... Buying means an output of 350K. Resupplying (which cost some effort and time) will give you 420K...

The sale itself is just 25mins work and can be done solo, apart from postal vans sale...

Don't get your hopes up about getting passive income implemented in GTA... This will intervene with shark card sales, so nop... But in a way, you already have it, as discussed above...

Just start watching tv in appartment/garage/clubhouse and you wont be kicked.

I mean, sure, it would be nice but how much of the game would be ruined by it? Money making while you're asleep is the GTA equivalent of Godmode in a zombie survival game. Why kill zombies if they can't kill you?

I'm all for easy money and exploiting the crap out of it but making money while you're away isn't what a game should be. A game should be player input, not systematically manage your assets/growth of business. Why add options for when you're away when you should instead add options for when you're there? Open up that stocks website we were suppose to have. Auction House for vehicles like Forza Motorsports has. Ability to sell guns for lower prices. Clothes can be sold if you buy a clothing store, for example. Give us businesses as a front so we can do shady stuff but still be able to help that business out. Like in Breaking Bad when they get that car wash (I haven't watched all of Breaking Bad so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details).

Sorry, I don't think having the game play for you is a good idea. It'll suck the fun out of it and will only fuel our greed for more - or once the desired amount of money is reached we'll sit on millions and be bored, waiting for new content like most rich players do.

This is what I'm doing now. Every time I get online my two businesses have full bars of product to sell.

edit: I guess I jinxed myself making that post. Just went to my game, had my character stand up with the tv still on, and he froze in place standing there. The bartender says "are you ok mr. president?". Erg. All I could do is join a new session and I've been floating in the clouds since then.

I'd still rather have hyper-aggressive NPC cops, gangs etc. to fight rather than getting strafed by jets whilst I'm driving one of the slowest vans around :/

If you like the ceo business you should play it...

I just think they would be more fun with adjustments on npcs, jets and vans and beyond that the payouts of both associates and ceos need a buff...besides that...like said...if you are to lazzy to play your own game, you might want to consider quiting untill rockstar abandoned the game, install a mod menu and give yourself a bilion.

It would be way too easy to outsmart NPCs. Rockstar could get them that ridiculous accuracy the NPCs have in Rooftop Rumble. And dont forget the Hydra noobs that run to a jet when they are getting owned by just one player in Freemode. Imagine several super accurate NPCs.

Jets are way too easy get. When someone can aim better than you, just get a fighter jet. Its just that easy.

We are given $2,000 for good behavior, which is later given back to them in Utility bills and the mechanic.

I highly doubt it , we won t see such a payment system in GTA , for many reasons :

- R* wants that you play the game ...

- R* wants that you buy shark cards ...

with that beeing said , we already have a similar system ( the Bikes Businesses , I mean , you have to collect supplies of course, but then the production will run "in the background", while you´re playing something else) .

Yes i agree it would make the game more enjoyable and it would actually feel like my character owns a real business. CEO is kinda boring for me no one ever joins it no one is willing to help so i wouldn't mind the extra income. Especially since every thing in this game is ridiculously priced brb $50,000 for a t shirt

Huh?

Buying a video game doesn't make you an entrepreneur. Setting up an in game business real entrepreneurs designed and built doesn't make you an entrepreneur.

Shark Cards are fair since real world money is needed to buy them. Someone traded their time for that money so they could buy the card, just I like traded my time playing the game to earn GTA$ to buy things in game.

Some player waking up to enough money to buy a new supercar everyday for doing nothing is not fair. It also negates the Rockstar designed shortcut, the shark cards.

Rockstar is the entrepreneur here, they designed and built a game that makes them money while they sleep, we are the player base, you are someone who doesn't want to play the game they allegedly thought was fun enough to buy.

If you buy a kid a car he'll probably wrap it around a tree with the neighbors daughter inside. Make him earn money to buy his own beater and he'll treat that old wreck like gold. Earn your sh*t.

"Rockstar wants you to play the game."

Totally understandable, but at the same time, why the hell would the CEO of an underground smuggling company or the drug lord chapter president of an MC run errands all day to keep his business running? These guys would have a bunch of soldiers execute these tasks for them.

In SP, I get 8k a week from the golf course by doing absolutely nothing, and let's be fair, 8,000$ is sh*t. In Online, if I have 115,000,000$ and do nothing for a week except driving around in cars, etc, I'll be at 115,000,000$ a week later.

It's also the reason why grinding is so unfulfilling in this game, you'll never be done. Level 1? Go grind 20 hours for a Carbonizzare. Level 1000? Go grind 20 hours for a T20.

Such fun.

what he said, you can also watch tv on your yacht but make sure you check on them every hour or i fell asleep for 3 hours 1 night, was paying people to read newspapers and had to make two full runs asap, one guy i know fell asleep 8 hours and lose a bit of money

Earning money without playing is exactly the kind of thing R* will never do, for obvious and rather self-explanatory reasons.

I was expecting a thread about making money without having to deal with other players' sh*t...... we really need new PvE money making ways.
