The Snow Topic.

I like the snow for about 2 maybe 3 days, then I hate it... just like real life.

Considering that we aren't getting any snow here ever again, it is wonderful to see the snow at least in the game.

Can't wait to wander around on virgin snow creaking under my shoes, echoes of the street swallowed by the snowfall, snowflakes falling down in slow motion in the light cones of the street lamps...

Wondering when we will get news on the Festive Content and Snow, we really should have had an update on Thursday last week. It's the 21st, and usually snow is in the game just about now (if memory serves) 

I'm guessing the post is tomorrow? Hopefully.

One thing the game does nicely considering its age is to get the lighting right during the evening / night periods when the snow is activated. If you stand your character on a quiet street corner at night for example, it really does seem to capture the mood of being there for real.

Such ambience, which considering how spicy the game can be, it's quite the contrast. Do love doing all my favourite things in the snow in GTA.

 Yes it is! I've got a play list of mountain bike races down Chiliad that I put together just for the snow.

Edit: Mt. Gordo is beautiful in the snow too. I love the ponds.

Nope. Can't see a thing. Just crashed 2 helis during setup disruption, so ended up cancelling the heist.

Won't be playing the game until the snow is gone. It's just till Thursday, right?

I believe it goes until the end of Christmas day, then starts up again for a few days surrounding New Years.

 

It's ridiculous how much whining we see about the snow - it's in-game for like 6 out of 365 days. It's so much fun to me. I've been having a blast all morning, pulling out cars I haven't used in months and months!

I only play the game for missions, heists, races, golf, collectibles, etc.

Not really interested in public sessions / free mode.

 

My eyesight is already bad enough, lol.

 

Oh well, I'll just have to wait until after the new year.

During the heist setup where you have to get rid of El Rubio’s Buzzards, I thought I’d take a Lazer to do it. What a mess. I couldn’t see anything in the snow, couldn’t tell which way up I was and ended up crashing into the sea

I made my submarine's color dark blue and boy does it blend in well in snowy weather. Gotta be almost on top of it before you spot it.

The snow is fun for a while, but it seems it makes the game lag (on Xbox One) and bother my eyes after a while, until the snow is gone I most likely only will fool around, I will not miss it.

Rural highways and roads seriously need shoulder markers. Those IRL little (3-4 foot high) metal poles with round reflectors on them that reflect your headlights at night so you won't run off the edge of the road. Helpful when it's snowing and you can't see the edge of the road while doing MC deliveries. And you end up sliding down a hillside.
