Volatollotalov 2,001 Posted December 24, 2019 Share Posted December 24, 2019 (edited) One of the 'cool' things about the snow is that you can land a helicopter with skids (not wheels) at high speed on a road or runway and then ski along for a surprisingly long distance. As long as you touch down gently and don't crash into anything then it doesn't damage the helicopter, even if you hit the ground at full speed. You can also ski down slopes by cutting the engine to kill the lift, although this is obviously a bit riskier. I've yet to pull this one off without it ending badly. Caracara 4×4, Everon, Scarab, and my trusty Riata should keep me occupado until the roads are dry again. I've already spent my last 2 long play sessions running rally playlists for the snow. Aside from that the stuff really is a hindrance as far as trying to do any FR business or heisting. Sure, it looks pretty but the visibility is so poor that it gets very old very quickly, especially as someone whose been playing since 2014. Cars like the mamba are slippery anyway but most others seem to have better traction/easier recovery even at high speeds. There’s definitely a snow effect but not as bad as years prior to me. I thought it was meant to be gone today? Nope, you're not the only one, but considering how most forumers are not from snowy areas and playing on consoles they're pretty happy with it. On PC snow cripples the graphics significantly IMO. I'm seeing a week of snow every month in Horizon 4 and have less issues with that, because it's a proper snow with much different handling model, icy lakes and visuals are top notch. This snow is nothing but a small band-aid bonus to make the game feel different and a lot of people like it, because they're sick as hell from the same map for 6 years and no next GTA in sight. 5 Link to post Share on other sites

It is only present for a few days and makes for a nice change to the other 350-odd days of the year that it isn't here. "I can't drive my cars!" "I can't do my deliveries!" Do something else then, and wait until the snow goes. I personally think the snow makes the map look great.
