Trouble is if they extend it past Christmas day the brand new crop of players "won't get a fair start" or at least you'll lose more than if you show them the actual game. So it'd be nice if it lasted longer, but it'd have to be in the new year so it doesn't impact sharkcards/experience too much and by then all the holidays are done with.

2 days of snow then a break then another 2 days works well.

 

Love the snow but the novelty wears off quick. Last 2 years folk were delighted to see it then equally delighted to see the back of it.

 

It's started midnight Uk time last year as in the midnight between the 24 / 25th.

Working from home in Framingham today and the snow looks just like GTA snow, a light coating of around 1 inch. Glad I'm not on the roads where everyone is relearning how to drive in snow.

I'm super excited for it this year; if you haven't ever tried the Adversary job "Hunting Pack" in the snow, do yourself a favour and give it a go.

FWIW, if you want to experience the effect of snow without any on the ground, just wait until you get a chance to drive a Duke 'o Death in Moving Target.

 

I used to drool over that vehicle until I actually drove it. lol

 

Now...not so much. I'll happily keep my Armored Kuruma.

One of my all time favourite GTAO moments was logging in at stroke of midnight on Christmas Day 2014 and seeing snow on current gen for the first time. Venturing out into the atmospheric, wintery night to pursue the next exclusive Special Crate item (wearing the newly acquired stocking mask, of course)...it was incredibly exciting.

I really hope they make it for a week this time but I have a feeling it will only be for the 3 days plus 2 days over New Year again.

 

I've already had to make my grovels for being unsociable over the holiday season but I have quite a bit I want to record from the game when the snow

is here as many vehicles and mission stuff to record during white out.

I've never seen snow on next-gen before so im hyped a bit.

Me too. It makes contact missions really fun for some reason.it makes races really, really fun. Can't wait for the mountainish tracks in the show.
