The Snow Topic.

Create a land race in the creator. You don't need to publish it. All you have to do is set the weather you want and test it. During the test, pause and load up online and the weather will carry over and stick until you switch sessions. Bare in mind that only you will see the weather effects. Other players will have the actual weather.

Is it only visual, or would you get the car physics that come with the weather too? Like if it's snowing in the session, everyone else will be sliding around but you wouldn't because you have sunny weather?

That correct. Say for example I glitched rain. On my side I have physics for when it's raining, but on the other end where it's sunny and dry they'll see me sliding. And of course on my end, they will have the dry physics even though it's raining.

^ Just did the low-flying Dodo biker sell in the dark and yeah it was actually challenging for once. Flying instruments because otherwise I was going cross-eyed.

I helped a crew mate to the same mission, nerve-wracking! It was during the day but still wicked challenging. Even bad over water, but we were successful.

Honestly, GTA looks so dull and boring right now... I loved the snow. We play for a year long in the same weather conditions, so a change of snow is really great and enjoyable, it gives the game a whole different vibe. Im glad we will have it for 2 more days the (if i even get time to play it then...).

 

Atleast this year we got more days of snow compared to previous years.

The snow is not immersive. Sure it's nice to have snowball fights and the sky lights look awesome, but other than it, the snow is quite crap. I would have liked something like having NPCs wearing winter clothing, snowmen on street, christmas decorations around the city, but sadly no.

Already can't wait for it to come back. It makes the whole world magical, to me. Another reason I like it a lot is that snow IRL is starting to look like a thing of the past in my country. In no small way thanks to "global warming isn't real!" jerks.

 

One plus side to that is that I don't have to deal with slippery roads quite as often anymore. But the whole waking up and looking outside to see the place covered in snow just doesn't really happen much here anymore. And even when it does, it doesn't stay pristine all the time. In GTA it's just there, perfectly, even with the sun out and exhausts warming up the place.

 

So yes, more snow days please. Or do what's been suggested/requested a million times: allow it to be turned on in private sessions.

I've had snow since the 23rd, and it still hasn't vanished. I've even put my console into rest mode and it's still here.

 

It's nice. I have the 50% bonus too. I'm gonna keep it as long as possible.

Worked for me. I did go to creator mode first before doing it, I don't know if that made a difference.

Yes, I agree. It's just been added on without any through for the rest of the game. It would also be nice if they threw snowballs back. And being able to kill someone with a snowball is a bit bonkers. I was going to find out how many snowballs it would take to destroy a tank but decided there were better things to spend my time on.

yea hopefully thats their secret way of saying its coming telling us to paint the snow red since there isnt any snow, hopefully means very soon.. was just getting on here to see what everyone else thought too, i mean according to last year it wouldnt be til tomorrow 7 pm EST which would be new years eve 12 pm for GMT but christmas was a day early compared to last year so hopefully that means a day early which would be yes as you said midnight tonight which would be 7pm for EST so im hoping to see something in 5-7 hours if not no hope til tomorrow prolly, but i would say more than 50 percent chance we get it tonight

I do not know about you but having been flying a hydra when it snowed it just makes people on the ground even more obvious targets then ever.

 

Now rain storms...thats more of a challenge...but snow ?
