nebraskathomas
I am not familiar with ATI video cards so cannot help you there. I do however have a very good tip that will save you a lot of wasted time and pain. Make a copy of your Grand Theft Auto V game and rename the new copy: "Redux - Grand Theft Auto V". Second, rename your original un-modded version of GTA: "Vanilla - Grand Theft Auto V". Here is an example: This is a HEAVY mod and doing this simple step will allow you to go back and forth from your new Redux version to the Vanilla version any time you want to play the game. To play the game simply remove "Redux - " or "Vanilla - " from the folder name before playing. I learned this the hard way by modding my GTA and having issues, then having to redownload the entire game from the R-Star servers. I actually have three folders installed now. Redux will not work with any of the trainers unfortunately. And you cannot use Redux online or you will get banned. Because of this reason I have a "Redux" GTA version, a "Modded" GTA version, and the original untouched "Vanilla " GTA version. I hope this helps. The mod is beautiful but is too heavy for my gaming laptop: Will keep it for future use however for my next pc upgrade. Here are my specs and a few pictures of the mod on my pc. Good luck! 16GB Ram - 3GB VRam NVIDIA GTX970M 4K output. 2.7GHZ Intel i7: GTARedux Edited December 2, 2016 by nebraskathomas uwmatt and Aerosmithfan999
nebraskathomas
uwmatt, Here is a great link you can use to compare your video card with others: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-970M-vs-AMD-Radeon-R7-Graphics/m17319vsm8791 I will use this site specifically to see where I am compared to the latest Graphic Cards. With new games I always look at the recommended hardware before purchasing and will compare my graphics card with the ones recommended by the game. I can average 45-55 fps on higher settings... it is too choppy to play with all settings maxed out on my system. Good luck on your trials and I hope the link helps you in the future.
