Stuck at crew rank 3. Is there still no way to fix this?

I just redownloaded the entire 55gb game last night and it's still broken. I literally just need to get rank 10 and then I won't care if it ever works again. I read a recent post saying that it only works if you are in 3 or less crews, so I tried that and it still doesn't work. There was also a video about how to fix it, unfortunately it only works on PS3 and 360. I am on PS4. Looks like R* won't ever bother to fix this, but wondering if anyone has figured out a way to fix it by themselves.

I had the same issue.

 

I de-linked My psn from SC, played a while. Restarted, and and chose an active crew. It prompted me to sign in to SC, afterwards crew ranks went up on all crews.
