How to remove all the buildings from the GTA vice city map with mapedi

i'm using the map editor to edit the map of GTA vice city. what i want to do is remove all of the buildings and make it a country-like place. how do i do this?

I know how to delete the buildings in the map editor, BUT when i do that, i deletes the ground under them and leaves black empty space. is it possible to replace it all with just flat grass land?

i also wanted to add in some signs and custom buildings i made in milkshape (i have 3dsmax too) to the gamemap as well.

can some help me figure this out?
