How to color stock rims v.2 (WITHOUT IFRUIT)

I tested this method a few times and I can confirm it works, 100%.

You will need:

  • A vehicle that can have it's stock rims colored (STOCK CHROME RIMS CANNOT BE PAINTED). The rims must be alloy or custom painted.
  • About 12k.

The steps are as follows:

  1. Buy any alloy rims for your vehicle (the cheapest you can find).
  2. Color it as you'd like, and add Custom Tires (this is what causes the glitch to work). For the newbies, you can add them in Tires > Tire Design.
  3. Get out of LSC, then go back in
  4. Change your tires back to stock. They won't be colored, but this is normal.
  5. Take your car back to your garage
  6. Restart your GTA V

Once you come back, check your garage - your rims should be colored! Since iFruit is currently broken, you can use this alternative method which imo is a lot less headache-inducing.

Also, it only works on PC it seems
