GTA: Live for Speed Project

I Really like the game Live for Speed, i spend SOO MUCH TIME Playing it when i was younger. and i had the idea to port the maps from this game to other game i like (GTA)

 

Progress:

What the hell would you want to do in a circuit that isn't driving around it? Dancing contests?

That would be one of the best mods for GTA 5. It's gotta be done.

This is a cool idea !

 

Hope you will replace the trees with some new one and fix some of the bugged meshes (look at the bleachers) :)

This Happens because i used 3D Ripper DX to get the Map Files, there's no other way to do it. but thanks anyway :D

Yeah I know, .wld file format is not know to public, so the only possible ways are ripping the meshes or using low quality SMX files (which are not available for Rockingham BTW)

The import feels very rushed, look like straight rip and import with no work on it.

 

Texture doesn't have mip-maps, glass have a blank material on it and even the rallycross entry on the mini-map you uploaded is wrong, the real one is the one under it.

 

This is the right one:

Hope you will improve the existing imports before going to the next ones. :)

Well. If i could get The model from The game with perfection, which is impossible, The mod will be perfect. And i don't know almost anything about 3d modeling. I tried to do some mountains around the map but they where soo ugly... So i removed. And i catch The map route from The official site, i dont know what is wrong. But after i convert all The maps i'll try to fix all i can in The maps. But i can't promise anything

And i have fern bay ready to release. Just need to take some screenshots from The map and some others things.

I don't ask you to model anything actually. ;)

 

If you are unfamiliar to the 3D world, you should check out how to generate mip-maps for GTA V textures, and how to set different materials, like glass for example. ;)

The textures have mipmaps. But I had to remove they because they are causing weird shader and rendering bugs.

And the glass texture is the same for other things. If I set it to glass, other things like stone in the same texture will be glass. So I set to stone for example and ota better than have a glass-rock wall.

You say taht i rushed the imports, well, i don't do it, some things of the map are missing because it's taken from game memory, i can't do nothing about this. but i always try to do all i can to fix everything.

You should check some videos about materials for meshes. You can assign a different material for the glass mesh and then set this material to use glass. And by glass, I'm not talking about a glass texture, but a glass material from GTA, so that it actually reflect, just like buildings in the game.

Yes, i know about the shader. and about the the texture for a mesh, i'll try something.

I Test the Glass Material, and waht happens was that GTA V uses a diferent Glass Shader Parameters than GTA IV Ones, so when i convert from GTA IV TO GTA V, the textre just dissapear, so i can't make a glass with reflections on GTA V Now :p
