1-st beta'll done soon, i'm working on this mod not too much time, but i think everyone understand why, flat models (gta 1-2 like), low detailed cars and npc, this's very easy work, but anyway, current map

DOS-game effect disabled all mip-maps, without it, mod looks like cartoon, not like old-game=\

Holy cocos. This sh*t's damn awesome! I love Retro City Rampage and play it a lot on my PSP. But this... this is just unbelievable :D

To make it retro, e.g. like Tomb Raider 1, you can enable mip-maps but disable Gouraud Shading. For Gouraud Shading one needed a 3D card like Voodoo1 - Voodoo3 but mip-maps worked with CPU since it is just a lookup.

I know, i've remeer mips in Quake 2, but i'm not strong at Shader Language, i use effect.txt, which made by Boris Vorontsov, so i don't have any ideas how i can fix it=|

I can tell that this mod will probably feature the music from the Game Boy Color ports of Grand Theft Auto 1 and 2. Or, maybe not.

i'm totally in love with this cool old-school style you're going for here. some seriously nice work shown so far and i can't wait to see what's yet to come.

I tried it too and it's working perfectly :dontgetit:

I should mention that when I tried it at first it crashed a lot. I cleaned up my GTA San Andreas User Files folder and THEN it worked without problems.

The brightness problem happens everytime. When you change weapons, brightness randomly changes. When you look around with your mouse, brightness randomly changes. Seems like it somehow bound with sun reflections (or light reflections).

 

Deleting d3d9, enb, exdisp, motionblur, shadows.ini, colormod doesn't help.
