The irony of the Jet Kid mentality

Recommended Posts

Before you say this is B+M listen. Every single time I get attacked by someone in a jet and I either go passive or go into a building I get this message.

Pssy, cm out and fite.

Now, this might seem like B+M. But the irony of a player sitting high above everyone else, in a superspeed, highly weaponised jet fighter and calling the player they have just stealth killed a pussy is rather, well...

When I message these players to remind them that they are in fact sitting in a very safe place and shooting players with explosive rounds that need no accuracy and little skill they accuse me of being a pussy for not wanting to fight them face to face. All of the irony, lost.

When I do get one that wants to eventually land, they usually do so with four other friends.

In short, all jet kids, are cowards.

bitch and moan please.

Nothing more to add to that.

Yeah, usually I just respond with "says the one sitting in the hydra", after the obligatory reply I then just type ":)" and leave the "discussion" there because ofc they don't enjoy it when you don't allow yourself to be killed by him/her. Just move along.

and irony ? how about just counters them by saying " and why don't you just come down here and fight fair :p "

instead of complaining

if i were you , i would hunt them , snipe him/her off the cockpit and then.....well , he/she called you pussy , right

I'll give it a chance. It will either generate discussion or it can be locked...see where it goes.

I am dubious of this claim. I've been attacked by a lot of jets. Too many to count. They rarely message me. In fact most players rarely message; most of the mail I get is hate mail from someone I attacked.

But the truth is, most players are hypocrites in this exact way. Most of them will try to fight in a way they are comfortable with (so they die less) and send you messages for playing any other way, especially if you manage to kill them.

If you happen to own an Hydra (or if some of your friends on the sessions owns one they'd probably let you borrow it for this), grab it from passive (better do it off radar and from an airport far from where he is in order not to be too obvious, it doesn't require a brain of a dog from his side to know if you're in passive and offradar chances are you're grabbing an Hydra, that he can blow off until you enter it). Then on the air just wait for the off radar to end up and turn off passive. If he wanted to fight, St least now he can do so in a parity situation.

And here i am, slightly mastered the jet, being found in it more often by the way they make challenges and freeroam missions so easy....but still, if i do not have a bounty or some package and nothing else is going on in the session i am in, i often pretty much just leave my jet and jump down to kill a player if he kinda asks for it :p

and yea, i am more of a solo fighter, heck, i only know 2 or 5 occasions ever were i could actually experience an other friendly player helping me in a fight not being kinda an annoyance ....and pretty much ending up hitting each other with bullets on accident :p

I believe there are two types of jet players:

- The good ones: Those that actually know how to fly, don't immediately go passive upon being shot down and actually accept they have been shot down. By that, I mean they don't instantly give Pegasus a ring and request a Hydra or drive all the way back to Zancudo.

- The Cowards: The ones that know or have no idea how to fly, and automatically go into passive mode upon being shot down and make a journey to Zancudo or request another Hydra then disable passive mode immediately once airborne. These are the kind that can easily be beaten by enabling passive mode and letting them fly by in rage until they get fed up, crash and leave.

Well that's how I see it anyway.

There isn't anything you can do to get them to stop, unless you go and dedicate some time to killing them and then spawn killing them repeatedly until they leave. Anything else isn't going to stop it.

So I just drive around in my expensive vehicles now. If they're not cheating or purposely keeping all cash on a secondary char to jet grief, that 20k bill each time they kill me will hurt them more than any amount of spawnkilling they do on me.

And if they do have 0 money, or infinite money... what does it matter?

Money aside, they only ever seem to fight in a jet. If that, somehow, fails.. Insurgent. Maybe the armored kuruma. That's it. If that fails, suddenly you get a bounty + mugger + mercenaries (because obviously the player doing that is 100% calm and totally not bothered by you blowing his 3m jet up with a $500 sticky bomb.)

When they send me messages... I send them back.

Like. I give them tips on how to actually hit me ( even tho they can't hit me) .. "lower" .. "higher". Ohh... "Warmer"... Ohhhhh WARMER!

That sometimes pisses them off just enough to attempt a risky angle to try to hit me.. and causes them to crash.

Strange. I've NEVER been messaged by someone in a jet. I go passive and they fly off to the next dot. Folks on the ground love to send messages though.

I just want to say in agreement with you and a few others saying the same thing, as much as they annoy me the only times I've ever been messaged by jet griefers was in answer to me messaging them.

Want to add that while annoying to see Jets aren't a real big problem to me. Only time I get killed by them is when I decide to work on taking them out. A higher age than most folks here and slower reflexes keep me from doing that very often though.

The best thing is when one grabs their Jet and goes passive......just to be killed by their intended target.

When this happens to you, never let it show that the jet griefer has affected you. That includes messaging him back or even going into passive mode.

To effectively take out a jet, just drop some bull shark testosterone and take a few shots at it with the heavy sniper (until it's smoking), then simply use the minigun to explode it when they come in for their next attack.

Then call in a hydra for yourself and make sure you blow up every jet he tries to respawn, over and over again. :^:

If you want to get a Jet Troll to start sending you messages.. Simply target a friend of theirs.. or someone in their crew.

Thats what usually sets them off on me.. Like every time.

For me its.. "Hey.. i can't kill you because you're in a jet, so im gonna pick on your friends instead"

That can trigger alot of jet trolls.. And after few dive bomb attacks,,, once they notice they cannot easily kill me. thats when i get the messages"

Mind GAMES!... I love it..lol

my trolling technique is even better

because it interrupt the command prompt for " firing " button

1.simply plug in a mic > 2.go to your phone's contact > 3.select your enemy > 4.make a call > 5.wait for answer the call or hang up > 6.go back to " no 2 " ( if answered , just hang up then go back to no 2 ) , rinse and repeat until your victim fed up with you

limitation

~ lag gives delay during calling attempt , therefore reducing of frequency of how many times the victim gets the call

~ charges $10 for every player call

~ requires a mic

~ doesn't work if the player somehow disable their own phones from receiving a call

~ highly recommended in safe spot or passive mode , because the user is vulnerable during the call ( i.e slows the movement in FPS mode ) . though user could still hang up instantly if hitting aiming command button while wielding a firearm

it appears i was the first one who discover this , since no one else but me , mentions this one before

if the pilots favors lazer over hydra , planting mines on lazer's spawn is good idea in addition camping on control tower ( from there , bullets can go through glass except explosives )

other than that , planting mines on all hydra's spawn is good choice ( must be backed with sticky bomb though , just in case.... )

I once sent a jet pilot a text and he immediately crashed.

But how do you plant mines on all the Lazer spawn points without getting murdered by the AI lol.

well make sure to use lester's perk first

as for camping in control tower , once you're on top , there is no way the marines/cops would going to 6th floor ( except for....police mavs )

and since we can restock , we can abuse the trap as deterrent to jet pilots

OP-Just cuz someone is in a jet does not make them a coward. The correct term is griefer. The point is not to get on the ground and fight where you may have a chance to get your kill back. Then he wouldnt be griefing you. Apparently the pilot was successful since you felt the need to come here and talk about it.

I love when I get messages saying I am hiding in a jet. How does one hide in a jet? Its a rather large aircraft in the sky out in the open. There is actually no where to hide when you are in a jet lol

P.S. B&M ;oD

I disgaree for most cases. If they are using a jet... they are obviously scared of something. I will say its varies on what that player is scared of.

Scared of traffic.. Scared of cops.. Scared of dying.. Scared of other players. Scared of ruining their K/D ratio.. Scared of losing..

Theres a certain mindset needed to mentally want to bring a fighter jet to a gun fight.

If i bring a gun to a fist fight.. Thats because im scared. Same logic sort of applies to jet trolls.

They not might like that comment. But, theres a reason as to why they are in the jet in the 1st place.

Has nothing to do with being scared of anything. Thats ridiculous. I dont grief because I am scared of getting killed. I do it because I enjoy it.

I have spent countless hours/days ground fighting. But if I am in a jet its for one reason and that is to grief.

Between my accounts I probably have more deaths than most of you have kills lol

There is actually no where to hide when you are in a jet lol

There are plenty of places to hide in a jet pal.

Here are some examples:

1. Straight up. We cannot aim straight up. you CAN aim straight down. So if you use dive bombs, you re hiding.

2. Really high up. Anyone up that high is hiding. You cannot be shot.

3. Passive mode. Jet griefers LOVE this one. You get shot out? Just go passive and get another jet.

etc.

Saying there is no where to hide in a jet is straight up lies.

As I've stated many, many times, jets are a huge reason in regards to why I dislike and don't bother with public servers. For me, it is not worth the hassle or frustration; I can't make R* remove or nerf them and there just comes a time when you just need to move on and chalk it up to the notion that you and the jet griefer are playing two different games.

I'm long past measuring up the size of my character's e-clit to the size of a jet griefer's e-dick, so I don't give them the satisfaction of doing what they get off on doing: tormenting me with their bullsh*t to get a reaction. It's simply not worth it and in my mind, they are not winning in anything other than being arseholes--much like trolls in general. If you don't give them attention, they'll get bored and go away. It's quite simple and will save you from getting to the point where they've gotten to your emotions.

I get it though; such behaviour does indeed ruin sessions and especially the new free roam game modes, but if I want to do any of that, I'll lag out, kick, or find another session. I don't even play these things, but if I were going to, I'm not going to waste my time giving these types the satisfaction or even responding to taunts. I've never been verbally taunted by a jet griefer myself, but it's best to just ignore it and move along. You can't really make these people change; they just are who they are. The random online community, unfortunately, can often just suck and take toxic behaviour to an entirely different level. That's just the state of the game we've all had to accept since day one.
