Big Smoke's Order...

Recommended Posts

When CJ, Ryder, Sweet and Big Smoke go to the Cluckin' Bell in the mission "Drive Thru" Carl and Ryder both order a number 9 while Sweet orders a number 6 (with extra dip).

Big Smoke surprisingly makes a much larger order consisting of two number 9's a number 9 large, a number 6 (with extra dip), a number 7, two number 45's (one with cheese), and a large Soda.

Cluckin' Bell serves primarily fried chicken and the menu items it has are shown in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto IV. Assuming the menu hasn't changed a lot in the 16 years between the games we can extrapolate the contents of Big Smoke's order.

Nowhere else in the game are the meals referred to by number other than in this cut-scene.

Now there are a few things we can extrapolate from Big Smoke's order. A number 9 most likely contains fries and/or a drink to be upsizable, a number 6 comes with dip making it either nuggets/chicken balls or the salad meal and a number 45 must either be or contain a burger to have cheese applied to it.

I believe the number 6 is in fact a salad due to containing ranch dressing as a dip, this explains how Sweet originally got his nickname, he used to eat a lot of candy but now he eats healthily as in a number 6 i.e. salad meal.

The number 9 is most likely the Little Peckers, while it could be a the Cluckin' Huge or Big Meal, I find it hard to believe that Ryder and Carl would eat that much food.

The number 45 is most likely the Fowlburger Combo as it contains no drink, leading Smoke to order an additional larger soda to compensate, also it can have cheese.

A number 7 is a true mystery, but given that when Smoke is eating his food he doesn't make any of the hallmark fried chicken eating sounds, it is most likely not the Cluckin' Huge Meal. We extrapolate that it's most likely the Little Clucker as that could contain nuggets.

Given these facts, we can extrapolate that Big Smoke's order contained;

  • 5 regular fries
  • 1 large fries
  • 4 regular sodas
  • 2 large sodas
  • 5 burgers
  • 1 six pack of nuggets
  • 1 chicken wrap
  • 1 salad

It is also revealed that smoke ate everyone elses food as well;

  • 1 chicken wrap
  • 1 salad
  • 3 sodas
  • 2 burgers

Which is approximately 6,300 calories of energy, well over twice the recommended adult intake even if Smoke didn't drink all 9 sodas.

More ridiculous is the fact he ate it all over 5-10 minutes as shown by the cut-scene at the end of the mission where Smoke leaves the car without the food, but to put that into perspective the world record for most hamburgers eaten in 3 minutes is 12, so it really isn't that impressive but what really gets me is that even though there is such a large amount of food it is all handed to Smoke at the drive thru in one bag. Wouldn't the BAG BE WAY TOO HEAVY?

Well he did explain he was hungry before they went to Cluckin' Bell. We know he wasn't in the mood for tacos due to his lack of agreement with Lance 'Ryder' Wilson during their conversation at the start of the mission.

With this information, one can come to the conclusion that Melvin Harris was indeed hungry enough to consume the food he had ordered, as well as his friends' food.

Nobody interpreted this correctly if there is a correct interpretation. It seems as if he had made the order for everybody.

If you pay attention to what CJ says... "Gimme a number 9, fat boy", to what Ryder says... "Gimme a number 9 just like his", and what Sweet says "A number six with extra dip" you'll clearly see that what BS orders is the full order. Everyone else's food + his.

But then, this gets into contradiction with Ryder, Sweet, and CJ reactions. Something about this mission feels odd, maybe a script derp from the Housers. Or maybe an accidental joke with the other 3 reactions which were just lol'ing at Big Smoke's way of asking the order.

To put it into perspective.

CJ: A number 9

Ryder: A number 9

Sweet: A number 6 with extra dip

Big Smoke: A number 7, a number 45, a number 45 with cheese and a large soda.

It does not change the fact that his order is enormous, but it trims down to something possible. (I guess)

So, perhaps Big Smoke order was

5 fries? Nah, let's assume that CJ, Ryder and Sweet asked for fries. That's 2-3 fries for BS.

Large Fries? Could be the number 9 large option for CJ or Ryder.

The 3 had to drink, BS got at max 3 sodas, large or regular.

Burgers? Ryder got burgers, so did CJ. Sweet? I don't know, consider it a thing. Or maybe he got the Chicken Wrap... BS had 2 burgers then.

Nuggets? BS got 'em. Or was that Sweet?

Chicken Wrap? Was that Sweet or Smoke?

Salad? Could be Smoke, he'd love a diet.

So, I'm way too lazy to math, let's say 2,400 calories.

DetectivePhelps

I can't believe how scientifically deep & dissecting every order of BS, just lol.

To put things in perspective, at the end of the game when Ten Penny is el deado....Ceser say to all, Let order a pizza.

So in conclusion kids, Pizza was the new diet. Jus saying.

lol

Just came across this guy on Twitter, who has posted a video on his attempt to eat all the food that Big Smoke's ate-

Mmm, yeah, not watching that. He slowed down the Drive Thru cutscene just to push the video over 10 minutes so he could get more of that sweet ad revenue. What a cancerous channel.

Odd that BS did not worry about being hit. Consider that machine-pistols were used, and the randomness of the shooting would put him in as much danger as any in the vehicle.

BS means more than just "Big Smoke".

Smoke said he can't stand cold food so I doubt he ordered a wrap or salad.

it's a wrap Big Smoke.

Sweetie did know of the job that

got the cops confused!

I have no idea what you just said.

The number 7 was probably the bucket of chicken. Wraps are served cold usually and Smoke said he can't stand cold food. The lack of sounds eating the chicken can be summed up as the devs not wanting to waste recording time on something irrelevant as eating chicken. God knows the game has a large amount of dialogue as it is, time is money.
