Spray Tags for increased capped respect.

In this guide I read that each spay tag done grants you 0.05% respect. I wanted to know if the respect if for having the tag sprayed or for the action of spraying, because if it is the latter it means I can keep failing Tag up Turf mission to continously keep increasing my respect. And this respect according to the guide is a capped respect, which oposed to running respect cannot be decreased from actions such as killing fellow GSF members or losing a territory to Ballas/Vagos. So would someone know if I can countinously keep increasing capped respect by keeping failing this mission

No. The respect "value" is not awarded until a Mission is Completed.

 

Raising your respect is straight-forward: doing missions, taking over gang turf, and murdering rival gang members and police officers are the most common ways

 

The quickest way to get Respect is in the Gang Wars. Many players consider the First Set of Turf Wars as "useless" because Weapons are removed at the end of it. But, the Money and Respect stays with Carl.

 

There are other "missions" that award minor values to accumulate, but are not active until the Mission is completed for the 100% story line.

I got respect during that mission but only after each objective was complete, each "group of tags", so to say.

Outside missions, I got the respect for the tag, immediately.

I lost all that respect when the mission failed.
