Has GTA influenced the way you speak English?

Title says all, though I am actually asking as to whether the game basically introduced you to British English, or if it at least honed your language skills (barring profanities and other coarse language). I've been speaking English for as long as I can remember, but the GTA series basically influenced me into writing in mostly British English, using terms and spellings specific to the dialect. It all boils to when I looked into the games' internals where they named the car parts like bonnet, boot, windscreen and such, hence why from that day on I started writing things the way R* does across the pond.

Yes. I used to speak Belarussian until I was introduced to GTA. Now I speak English like a pro.

English is not my main language, but GTA helps me understanding English along with various sources (including School of course, lol).

But as for English, it's my native language. The Australianized version of it anyway.

Not particularly, I'm English, but I have met many different people who are speaking English who have a different language, who claim to have learnt English through gta, I used to know a Russian man who spoke fluent Russian to all his friends but could communicate fine with me

GTA introduced me to English.

Everytime I think I do in English.

It taught me to swear and a bit of the "ni**er talking" from the hood.

GTA was what taught me how to speak English. Now I got the best accent outta the whole neighborhood and I'm hoping to be a translator in the future. The fact that the British accent/slang is forced on you here makes it all difficult though...

I've already learning English before I played GTA by watching PGA's golf tours on the TV, watching some movies, watching English News Programs, or by means of learning English by myself in school or in my house. But, by playing GTA. I felt that it gave certain contributions for my English.

Apart from all the swearing and gangsta language, I've improved my language quite well with English not being my first language, mostly spellings and dialect.

Even my mother language is Russian (despite I currently live in Netherlands) I learned American accent (and some urban slangs and profanity) on English with GTA, my first time speaking English was singing trip hop and downtempo songs (mostly with British accent).

English is not my main language, but playing GTA I've learned new words (I think I speak English good now - years and years pass by).

Like most here, english is not my main language, so I started talking "hood" english thanks to GTA SA. I soon learned that "N*gger" was not a very nice word, for some reason.

Yes a bit. As a french guy, every experience is good to take in order to speak english. So after watching series in VO, I try to understand what are saying the characters without reading the subtitles.

Without GTA, I'd be like any normal Italian, so I wouldn't know english, at all. :)

No. It did influence the way many lines are executed in the tone and manner of the voice actors' who delivered them. I used to often try to immitate them in school. 3D Era games have soo.. many fantastic ( and funny ) lines that I recall for their very effective style that still has a big influence on me.
