Well, boys and boys, here it is - the finale. How do you feel? Tensed? Want me to to give you a shoulder massage? You'll need more than a massage to calm those nerves down cause this is what this is all about right here! With a prize of $50 (to be discussed with the winner) as well as a forum medal stating you as the winner of the first Mister Los Santos Competition there's quite a lot on the line here. Those that fall short of first place will also receive a 2^nd and 3^rd place medals. We might even throw in a Sears Catalogue photoshoot if you have nice feet. Now the road has been steady with a small bump here and there and we've undeniably learned a lot, mostly learning we may be into men more than we should be but also that the forum needs to have a say in events on this type of scale. This is why this round has no judges and votes will only count in the form of a public poll (which the judges can take part in but have a 1:1 vote ratio just like everyone else). Welcome to the jungle!

We will be keeping a close eye on every single person voting and while the prizes are tempting please do not try to cheat the system. As hosts we hold every right to deny the prize if we find foul-play was involved (with proof, of course). If you all play legit, though, it should be a competition for the ages. A staple - an example to be used for future Mister Los Santos' competitions! Let's make history together and sweet man moans.

*The public poll will open in 2 days - in the very early morning hours of Saturday (EST) which will last a full 8 days - closing the next Saturday night at 11:59PM (EST)*.

Before moving any further, Mion and livejoker would like to thank the judges (Alchemist, Modojo, Achlys and Fozzie_420) for their hard work and dedication. We truly appreciate all input you guys gave us and were a huge help! Please thank the judges and worship them if you haven't already. This round has no rules/criteria to fill so the contestants can rest easy. Below this is all contestants currently in the running along with a picture from one of their past entries (either from Round 1 or Round 2). If any contestant wants to swap a picture out for another please let us know. Contestants are free to add old or new entries/pictures in this thread though these do not count (as there's no judges to please, only the forum). If you feel it would help with your voting then go for it. We recommend voters check the links of all past entries of each contestant to get an idea on who they are as a character. Each entry for those currently in the finale can be found lower in this post!

VOTERS: We highly recommend checking both entries (Round 1 and Round 2) for each contestant! We also recommend checking this thread to see if any contestant added an optional entry (extra pictures, typically). Checking out the Round 1 entry is the best way to know each contestant while Round 2 adds on top of the character. Please check out entries before voting! We want to make this competition free of popularity - vote on which man you like the best, not the member.

The results are in, gentlemen and gentlemen! Well...results. The public poll is a result in itself. Let's not ignore the elephant in the room - we know who won. IP checks would have to come back with a lot of fakes to remove his win. This guy took the first Mister Los Santos competition and bend it over but you know he's got class which is why those in second and third get a sweet little reach-around. This was undoubtedly a fierce battle for all men involved yet the strongest emerged. He may be a bit aged but like fine wine if you get too much of it in your system it will screw you up and boy have we become alcoholics as we dreamed about this guy.

Mr. Blackwood will receive a special deal of his own cologne sold throughout Los Santos. The scent is said to drive both men and women wild and desire only him! Mach, on the other hand, will get a nice forum medal and that $50 prize we talked back in the first round. That's still good...but not as good as your own cologne!





Now don't beat yourself up if you lost to the man above. The battle for second place was as exciting, if not more, as both Frikken and Evo battled it out. Despite the battle the polls were right once again as Frikk held onto second place while Evo, losing two votes that didn't affect his position (falling one short for a tie before the fake votes removed), still latched onto third place.

What can I say, the judges definitely enjoy a bit of rough stubble. Feels good when brushing it on the legs, to be honest.

It's all thanks to the character creator being garbage, I wanted my character to have a stronger jawline like the guy in the Flight School Update artwork has, but the game either gives you a triangle chin or an extremely boxy face, let us not forget how half the population of players have very chubby cheeks.

 

We basically have to resort to facial hair because we don't want to have babyfaces.

The issue is that people complain if judges are in and we felt that the forum should have the final say in who should be the first Mister LS. Just because Miss LS has its own system in place doesn't mean the 1st Mister LS should be on par to the 3rd Miss LS. We're going old-school!

Agreed with Foz: if you want to avoid making this a popularity contest reach out to people and tell them to vote on the OVERALL personality of the character. Encourage them to view the first and second round entries and, if anyone adds any for this round, check it out as well. All characters in the running have a good chance of winning, you guys simply need to scratch the bottom of the barrel and find support. I make it sound that those more popular will win....sure, there's truth to that but if everyone pushes the ideology of basing votes on the character and NOT the member then we could have a very nice fight on our hands.

The thread will be pinned some time today, for those scrolling down to find it.

Pretty cool thing to make it to the final round in Miss LS with Rhonda and now Mr. LS with Hugo! Guess that means my characters are fairly cute to people other than just myself.

 

Also, if I'm not mistaken, I think I might be the first and only woman irl to make it to the final round as a MISTER in the very first Mr. LS contest! If I'm wrong, ignore me.

Oh wow I'm still hanging on. Thanks for the judges for considering yet again my character to be worthy for the next round. Thanks also for all who voted for me. Congratulations to other finalists and good luck for this final round.

Due to being relatively busy with stuff at the moment and that there isn't real requirements for new pictures on this round, I recommend you to go ahead and take a look at my entries at first & second round. If you've completely missed them out that is.

But what I can do for you here is to show a small selection of screenshots of my character. Some of these are relatively old and I bet I will never have any better use for them.

I think I can pull of a mafia look quite nicely.



I think this is the actual advertisement photo they used on the scenario I was talking about earlier. Yes now I remember. It was Hinterland's photo shoot indeed. They used a slogan: "Doing it hard since 1869". Hey wait. Do these ********* think I'm that old?



For the record, I was wearing nothing else besides those glasses and that coat when this photo was taken.

Cutting it down to 8 contestants is a much more tense race. Miss LS had many left in the dust - cutting two of them out makes it a tight competition. Complications arose with a tie so there's 9 in the running. Sort of breaks the concept of having a tighter race, sadly, but nothing we can do about it now. Apologies if that cut out anyone out of the comp, though a tie with that could've been possible as well making it a full 11 which is a bit much for a finale round. Also considering Tonguegirl didn't fulfill her end in Round 2, making it a 19 out of 20 finalist. The smaller pool of finalists, the more prestigious it is to be in the finale.

 

@Stax: Mion was a huge help so shout out to him as well! It's a co-host thing we got going on. I was the entertainer, he was the brains behind a lot of the stuff.

 

Congrats to everyone and I'm glad you enjoy the Special Awards! Again, the poll will be up in the wee hours of Saturday morning (when I come back from work) so PLEASE pass the word around! Yes, Mach has a good chance of winning but to give up now is to hand him the win. Are you the type of men that go down without a fight? Come on, stand your ground! Take this challenge! Rival Mach and anyone else that may pose a threat. Real men fight for their right to win a beauty contest.

 

As for Mach, well, good luck. You'll have to prove your strength in this one.

I suggest that we have the same rules as the elimination games:-

2. Users have to state who they voted for in the comments after choosing their preferred candidate in the poll

 

3. After tallying up the amount of commented voters when the deadline is reached, any surplus of poll votes from people who didn't comment and accounts made before this stage was founded will be deducted from the Total Votes and give us the True Value of Votes.

Come on guys, if only the public can vote and not the judges, we all knows than Mach1bud gonna win I have nothing against him, his character deserve to win but what is the job of the judges if they don't vote? With a public poll, don't forget that during the contest of "Miss Los Santos 2016", many had created fake accounts to vote for their favorites. We can see every person who votes, there isn't a whole lot of voters for this, unlike Miss LS, so it is relatively easy to go through the accounts to see which ones are new. Last round I only spotted 1 of mine that was a new account, a buddy from Twitter.

 

Whatever you guys wanna do to make it as fair as possible, not sure having voters comment will work though.
