Well, you have to use a little initiative.

More accurately summarised in your case as "making sh*t up and hoping nobody notices". How's that going for you?

Hints at pedophilia

The f*ck you on about? Seriously, I've got no idea where you're getting this sh*t.

So if it's not by hand, it is, in fact, by a computer?

They're on computers. How are you supposed to anslyse them otherwise, print 'em all out and go through them with pen and paper? F*cking hell.

Sure, I'm a pleb, a luddite, an idiot

If the shoe fits...anyway, what term would you use to refer to someone who insists on continuing to make confused, illogical, contradictory and nonsensical assertions on subjects they clearly know absolutely nothing about?

That would still leave a pretty huge number of emails

On what intimate knowledge or subject matter expertise are you basing this evaluation? Oh yeah, absolutely nothing.

I gave a few examples to set a vibe of what kind of seediness is in the emails as a whole.

No. You very clearly made specific reference to the talking points commonly linked to the pizza conspiracy nonsense, which you as you make clear in the latter part of your post, you yourself subscribe to. Moving the goalposts isn't going to make that any less true.

Hints at pedophilia,

I'm going to stop you right there, because this is patently false. There is not a single mention of pedophilia in the emails you referred to, or any other emails linked to this whole pizza idiocy. What there is in actuality, however as there is with nearly every conspiracy theory, is internet folk with an overactive imagination and impaired ability of critical thinking, deducing some kind of grandiose plot from unrelated, often times trivial data, in this particular case a handkerchief, and the people corresponding in the emails' dietary proclivities. Aphonia it's called, and it's a well documented psychological phenomenon.

But I'd like to see those emails looked into better - and I personally find the pedophilia stuff (regardless of how controversial mentioning that is) more disturbing than vague claims and allegations of bizarre stories about people p*ssing on stuff.

Controversial would imply that there is some remote semblance of merit to it, there isn't. The claims and 'evidence' brought up in support of them are completely fabricated. The only crime committed in the realm of this pedo pizza silliness is the libelous claims of the conspiracy bandwagon's disciples.

I'm not sure this one needs to be dignified with a reply. It's little more than "lalalalala I can't hear"-style childish nonsense.

The f*ck you on about? Seriously, I've got no idea where you're getting this sh*t.

The leaks. But CNN told you not to look at those, so I'm not surprised you haven't seen any of them.

How are you supposed to anslyse them

You're supposed to analyse them by actually looking at them; as opposed to leaving them to some script or computer program coded to search for words or what have you.

If the shoe fits...anyway, what term would you use

Sounds like "someone who disagrees with me" would fit the bill. But I don't mind being called a pleb. I don't hate myself, or really have much aspirations of joining the middle or upper classes ... So, meh, doesn't bother me.

On what intimate knowledge or subject matter expertise are you basing this evaluation?

Common sense.

Now, if you don't mind, I don't think we're going to achieve much by continuing this. I have my views; you have yours. I'm not typically of a mind to push anything unless it's needed - and to be frank, I'd probably be banned if I stayed around here much longer - so I'll agree to disagree.

*You're wrong. You're wrong. You're wrong.*

I disagree.

Quite a novel way of throwing in the towel after trying to defend a conspiracy theory that lies somewhere in-between FEMA death camps and Stanley Kubrick having faked the moon landing on the scale of tinfoil hattery. I have to give you that.

Not going to get away with it that easily, though. It's not a matter of me disagreeing, it's simply that the facts are completely contrary to the ludicrous argument you're peddling. But hey, I'm always happy to enjoy a bit of schadenfreude, so by all means, do substantiate your claims of pedophilia in relation to the hacked DNC emails.

What the f*ck just happened? This is terrifying. He sounded like a petulant child who can't string together a coherent sentence. He takes shots at the Intelligence Community. He deep-throats Putin. He tells lie after lie. He deflects with "but Hillary". He shouts down a reporter. He has a 37% approval rating but he's up there sucking himself off on what a great job he is doing; taking credit for Ford, etc, who have said their decision has nothing to do with him.

He brought up WikiLeaks over 160 times in the last month of the election alone. Now suddenly he doesn't like leaks and it's "fake news". In fact, he brought up WikiLeaks during the same f*cking press conference. The irony is delicious. Also, does anyone else find it hilarious that he spent the election crying about how tough Hillary would be on Russia, his supporters literally said she would start WW3...but now he's saying Hillary wouldn't have been tough on Russia. No one will be as tough on Russia as him.

He knows who his target audience. They will eat this up. CNN is fake news now? He doesn't like what they reported on so they're fake news and therefore don't deserve a question? That is Nazi Germany level sh*t - referencing Trump's tweet this morning saying yesterday's events are reminiscent of Nazi Germany.

Kellyanne Conartist and Sean Spicer are utter trash, by the way. The only thing they are all capable of is "but Hillary!". The campaign is over. That doesn't fly anymore. Grow up. CNN is reaping what they have sown. CNN created the environment early on in which Trump could fake it until he made it by broadcasting his rallies in full and giving him free advertising. In a universe where there is no Jeff Zucker abetting Donald Trump's rise to power, there is no President-elect Trump.

I'm not sure this one needs to be dignified with a reply. It's little more than "lalalalala I can't hear"-style childish nonsense.

> You make an assertion you have no evidence to support, which does not appear to be based on any discernable evidence.

> I point out that there's no evidence to support the assertions, and suggest you provide some

> You fail to provide any

Ergo, it's completely reasonable for me to assert you've made them up. If you don't want people to accuse you of taking bollocks, at least think about trying to supply some supporting evidence. It's not exactly rocket science.

The leaks.

Except, to the best of my knowledge, there's nothing in any of the leaks which even begins to support this assertion.

If you're confident enough to assert that I'm in fact wrong and there is evidence to corroborate your frankly ridiculous claims, you can provide it. Until you do, I reserve the right to continue mocking it as a claim.

Getting into a pissing contest with me on the subject of the DNC leaks is not going to end well for you; if you cast back through the thread thus far you'll see that pretty much the only person posting any independent, evidence-based analysis on them by subject matter experts has been me. Because, naturally, the involvement of foreign intelligence services in a cyber attack on a Western political system during an election is quite interesting to an intelligence studies postgrad who works in IT security.

You're supposed to analyse them by actually looking at them; as opposed to leaving them to some script or computer program coded to search for words or what have you.

And tell me, exactly why should I waste time, and therefore money, analysing an email that I can prove, mathematically, has already been analysed once already as part of a previous investigation? No individual in their right mind would think this was a reasonable course to take, which is why it's not what happens. If you personally don't like that as an idea, tough titties, come back when you've got academic and professional qualifications which add some veracity and authority to your opinions and maybe people will listen.

Sounds like "someone who disagrees with me" would fit the bill.

There's a difference between "someone with a valid, informed and coherent opinion who disagrees with me" and "someone with contradictory, poorly informed and frankly ridiculous opinion that's clearly without technical merit or even basic subject matter understanding, and also happens to disagree with me". You clearly fall into the latter category, for reasons which have been explained at great, almost nauseating detail; in fact, for reasons you've previously agreed with. Frankly, suggesting your opinions should be given equal weight, or any weight at all for that matter, is a laughable balance fallacy.

Common sense.

Thank you, next time I'm trying to analyse a massive data set I'll dismiss seven years of experience, two degrees including one specifically focused on intelligence analysis, three professional qualifications and an entire arsenal of tools specifically designed to help me for a biro, paper and "common sense" as lain down by an eejit.

It's also hilarious because that happened during the primaries, not the general. It was one debate question - whoever could have guessed that a question about the Flint water crisis would be asked in a debate held in Flint, Michigan! Shocking stuff, truly!

Haha oh wow. I really enjoy seeing the tables being turned. Yeah, sure. I admit. There was a lot of fake stuff about Clinton that I desperately wanted to be true. I wanted to believe.

But now it's you. I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise, partly because I've learned that internet debates are useless unless you have a large audience and partly because I know from personal experience that there was no way any one of you could have convinced me that Hillary wasn't going to drop dead any day now. Time convinced me and in a month you too will know that the whole story started from a British /pol/ack trying to rustle Rick Wilson on Twitter.

Even though the first informations about the topic were as far as october and even publications before the /pol/ post.

Even though the post is vague and says nothing about the actual scandal (the prostitutes), only some random comment about russian involvment, something that has been said even on the primaries over and over again.

Right, meme magic and sh*t.

Has any President been so openly hostile to his own intelligence agency?

It sounds morbid, but looking at American history, I have a terrible feeling Trump will meet a similar fate to Warren G. Harding. Like Trump, Harding's personal conduct was disgraceful (He was a sex addict, who had his lovers ferried in and out of the Oval Office by the Secret Service), and his administration was rife with cronyism and graft. Until, quite suddenly, Harding died two years into his first term and his own wife oversaw the destruction of most of his personal papers. Some said it was poisoning, and I'm inclined to agree.

He's making some very powerful enemies, and - having ran as an outsider - clearly has very few allies within his own party. He could actually be in real danger.

I'm not afraid that the CIA will kill him. That's a crazy conspiracy theory at this point. I'm more afraid that his distrust of any intelligence that doesn't align with his views will get people other than him killed, specifically by sending troops into a country or region that has no hostiles and creating new insurgencies and "terrorists". Or maybe he ignores warnings of an attack and allows them to happen because of his petty feud.

The CIA isn't Rosie O'Donnell. You can't just have a fight with them as president and start ignoring their intelligence just to spite them. Literal wars are started that way.

Wow. That was the most unpresidential press conference I've listened to. He doesn't sound nearly as confident as he did during his campaign. But he kept up his old "we're going to do X in the next TIMEFRAME and it's going to be great, it's going to be phenomenal, it's going to be unlike anything else in the world. It will all be great", and his whole pointing CNN as fake news, wow. While at the same time treating Breitbart as a proper news source. It's disgraceful.

And still hung up on Hillary. He won the race. Hillary conceded. Why does he feel the need to keep bringing up Hillary?

At this stage, I'm almost willing to believe in something a little crazy, because this situation is almost unprecedented.

A President could well be a foreign agent, being blackmailed into acting as Russia's puppet. I am sure the truth is more nuanced, but it is the perception of truth which will shape attitudes towards Trump. And, if the idea sticks that this is a man taking orders from another government, what could the CIA do?

Morally, they would be right to remove him.

But, as you say, people let their imaginations run away with them when it comes to the subject. I doubt the reality will be as exciting, but probably a damned sight more depressing.

because he has the thinnest skin of any world leader in history.

Trump would claim that the sun is overrated if he thought that he had been insulted by it.

he's literally a manchild.

I should've add that it's twofold; he's a very petty and immature grown man for one but he's also doing some of this deliberately. it's simple distraction and slight of hand. it's what every great Con Artist understands how to do. distract and delay. Trump doesn't want anyone focusing on the substance of his incompetency so he keeps shifting the attention around onto things that are completely irrelevant.

distract and delay.

he would rather people talk about anything other than his abysmal cabinet picks, race-baiting false rhetoric, or numerous potential corruption scandals.
