As said, both are too old. This trivialising and meme-ifying of one of the most debilitating illnesses anyone can get is just really f*cking low. As someone who has someone in their family who is actually suffering from Alzheimers, and is aware what this actually means, I just want to say: f*ck you.

You're right, it might not be dementia. He might have a giant tumor pressing against his brain or he may have had a series of mini-strokes. It would take a doctor to work out which one. It doesn't take a doctor to see that he is totally incoherent.

I take issue with the trivialising and meme-ifying of dementia specifically, for the reasons I have stipulated before. It is actually a hugely complicated and taxing diagnostic process.

That Biden is not as sharp as he used to be is apparent, he is also far too old, Sanders idem. I am still baffled that two fossils is the best the US dems can muster for serious contention. That being said, the gaffes of his that are turned into 20 second clips often come from 40+ minutes of speaking time. Much of it completely normal, granted that he has never been an orator on the level of someone like an Obama.

I will also remark that for pretty anyone the longer you speak continuously and without pause, the more likely you are going to mess up a sentence or say something stupid. Exacerbated by lack of sleep, stress what have you.

Biden is on video being creepy and inappropriate with children multiple times.

Out of all the accusations against Trump, there is only one in which proof of what happened surfaced. Alva Johnson filed a sexual misconduct lawsuit against Trump. She said he forcibly kissed her at a rally in Florida. Here she is talking about the incident with tears streaming down her face -

Here's what really happened -

Without that video, lots of people would believe he sexually assaulted her.

Yes the same handful of videos that keep being repeated. What you call creepy others that were actually there have called affectionate. I also wonder why the parents didn't intervene (that were on site) if they had thought his nuzzling and hugging to be inappropriate.

Here a different take from someone, a parent no less, that was actually present.

Let's ignore the fact that your guy was best buds with a sex offender that literally trafficked underage girls to his private island for them to be raped.

As for Biden "getting trounced"? Wanna put money it? The election is 8 months out, literally anything can happen in that period and the polls / projections / magic octopus predictions will change accordingly.

Unless Trump has a stroke or a heart attack, or God forbid someone gets him, he's got this on lock. I would bet my car on his reelection.

Classy. Did you know I lost both of my grandfathers to Dementia? I watched both of them die on their death beds. I know how it starts and I see what it does to people. It is harrowing watching the person you love slowly melt away before your very eyes and knowing there is nothing you can do about it.

Nobody really cares about the Biden stuff either aside from some shouty voices on twitter. And even those don't actually care, but it gets them retweets likes, hearts or whatever. Which as we once more saw illustrated beautifully this past Tuesday doesn't really translate to actual votes.

You clearly know nothing about Trump's style if you think he wont be blasting "Go to Joe 33030" on TV ads 24/7 this fall. And that sh*t is going to terrify undecided voters. And a good chunk of Sanders supporters, who Joe WILL need in the general, are already turned off by it and are firmly #NeverBiden. I count myself among them.

If you think that is creepy, you might be shocked to learn there are many cultures where greeting people (men, women, children, elderly) with multiple kisses on the cheek and hugs is the most normal thing in the world. I wonder what is more creepy: hugging a child of a friend or wrapping his arm around them or 20 - 30 something dudes sexualising images of young girls in a desperate attempt to smear someone. You a nonce, bro?

I too take my social acquaintances on private jet rights, party with them often, and get described as the other's "wingman". Yes definitely not best buds or anything.

This is a completely pointless discussion till November 5th 2020. You say X I say Y, we won't know until the general election is actually over. If you are that confident though, I'd put my money were my mouth is and bet big.

My condolences. Then you especially have no excuse to go on diagnosing people based on some 20 seconds clips. Alzheimers is notoriously hard to pin down and a diagnosis can take ages.

If Trump's presidency has proved anything is that people vote for what is in their own subjective best interest. Based on Super Tuesday polling as well, I strongly doubt anyone is going to be swayed in their voting behaviour by Biden's overtly-affectionate style. Being caught on tape as loving grabbing women by their privates didn't hurt the other guy either. A decent portion of Sanders supporters overlap with Trump voters as well. A decent portion of Sanders supporters have tried to smear every other candidate in contention. This "never[x candidate]" hashtag meme twitter is just dumb. It also presupposes your guy can actually win a general election, whilst he can't even stay on top in a democratic primary.

Joe Biden is not a good or loving man and he carries with him a lot of baggage.

He had to drop out in shame in the 88 Primary due to shameless plagiarism.

His refusal to sign on to Medicare for All is tantamount to an endorsement of the tens of thousands of needless deaths of those who cannot see a doctor.

His vote for the Iraq War cost us countless lives and hundreds of billions of dollars.

Are the Bernard Bruvs going to rage when he loses to Joey B?  Several have already said they are going to go full riot mode if he loses.

I bet Bernard will hammer Joe in the next debate...Joe is not going to be able to hide and have more time to speak in the debates (which should be good) and expose further that when he's under fire he falters.

The same thing will likely happen to Bernie as happened to Corbyn. Even if he wins he'll be completely ineffective, and completely sabotaged. Then everyone will make fun of how he's too nice and too weak and didn't really get anything done. The right always seems to have the advantage that they're not ashamed of playing harsh power games and being pragmatic, which makes them more effective in electoral politics, regardless of whether that's good or bad. Bernie is either completely ineffective or his supporters will abandon him because he disappoints them by being a moderate. What can Bernie realistically do in terms of foreign policy that won't disappoint all his activist buddies? We all know the deep state runs the US government to a large extent. If a pacifist is in office they'll definitely start covertly undermining his every step.

There is very little a Sanders type can do to reform healthcare, debt forgiveness, sticking it to the man, or whatever- if he doesn't get both the house and the senate. Which seems highly improbable. And even in the highly unlikely scenario he manages to (let's be real he is not even on top in the dem primaries), he will have to contend with moderates and DINOs that won't be so quick to vote for exaggerated air-quotations: "the socialisms".

lol @ Melchior thinking I base my entire thinking on how much he sucks.

But anyway, yeah, I would actually be glad if Americans got truly decent social security somehow. But Bernie doesn't seem the type to accomplish it. Radical self reliance seems to be a big part of American culture. European style social democracy is quite at odds with what the United States as a culture is. Hency why Yang's basic income plea was such a good compromise, because it succeeds in keeping the virtue of self reliance intact.

I cant believe how quick all the others...assumingly in the race because Joe was so weak, then when Joe won one state..dropped out and then endorsed Joe after trashing him for months.  There is no way Joe wins Minnesota or Massachusetts if Pete or Klobuchar stay in.  Even Beto endorsed Joe over Bernard, helping him win Texas.  Which was incredibly odd, It always seemed he was the younger version of Bernard.

Its still close enough that if Bernard slaps Joe for an entire debate, Bernard could win.  This next debate is gonna be better than Bloomberg getting slapped around...Bernard has to go for the jugular...if he doesn't, Biden has it.

I actually had my money on Pete, but then Klobuchar took him out in New Hamster.

Probably the 60's, 70's and also before that. The times when guys like Biden grew up. Different sexual morals back then. It seems you could be pretty creepy back then and it was deemed normal. Sexual harassment was pretty much the norm. Different times now, which is why #MeToo is hitting a lot of old guys especially who were used to getting away with bad behaviour.

So last time around, after Super Tuesday, Clinton had just shy of 200 delegate lead over Sanders. Biden has what, just around 90 delegate lead over Sanders? Now that the other candidates have also left. It's more doable for him to have the majority this time around than in 2016. Let's see how he recovers from this.

And in 2008, Clinton got more votes than Obama in the primary, yet he won.  Never take the broad strokes from historical context to attempt to understand what's happening now.

Sanders' best performance was in Nevada, where he managed 48% of the vote.  That's a caucus state too, which should give him a boost as well.  National opinion polls have him floating around a ceiling of 40%.  If that ceiling is true, then Biden will take the remaining 60%.  1/3 of delegates have been awarded so far, so if Biden gets 60% of the remaining 2/3, then he will get the majority of pledged delegates.

But here's the thing; the coalition that Sanders promised would come out to vote for him did not come out on Super Tuesday.  And the ability to beat Trump is considered the most important issue amongst 2/3 of Democratic voters, and they tend to favour Biden over Sanders on this front.  He may end up surprising us, but at this stage, I think Biden is more than likely to simply sail to the nomination.

Debt forgiveness can easily be done by executive order. He'd also be the most labour friendly president in history and he would be the first to be backed by a major popular movement. We'd also assume that more progressive candidates would be elected in the wake of a Sanders victory.

As for Biden' senility: he is totally senile, he isn't just misspeaking he's saying things that make absolutely zero sense. If Sanders was anywhere near as senile as Biden (or Trump for that matter) it would be all anyone talked about. But Biden is an establishment candidate so it's totally ignored. It won't be ignored, however, by Trump in the general who will mock him relentlessly.

I'VE BEEN TO MEXICO MORE TIMES THAN ANYONE, JACK!

As for Biden's paedophillia: no he doesn't diddle kids, maybe his lack of respect for personal space will be an issue, but I doubt it.

For the percentage that is owned in full by the US government, probably yes even though it will undoubtedly be wrapped up in legal battle. But quite a significant chunk of student loans are held by private companies. Which would require some kind of bill to be passed to buy up the debt they hold, which requires the cooperation of congress.

So a significant chunk of peoples' student and especially medical debt can be waived by the White House, transforming the lives of millions. Glad we agree!
