How many commends do you need to get the discount?

Hello there! So i'm trying my best to get the commends for the discount but i think i got around 20 of them(in seprate days) but still no discount. I used to have it on my old days on ps3 and I don't even know who used to commend me!

It's not something that easy to find out...I never asked anyone to commend me but certainly commend others frequently...I got the discount very early on.

I didn't know that was what the Commend feature was for. I thought it counteracted 'report player' What else does it do?

It also depends on doing shooting range for each weapon type.

 

I think full discount is 16%? I've not seen higher.

Sooo... nearly 3 months since I opened this topic and I still haven't got the discount :\ . However I read around that the discount also applies for cars you try to sell and so it affectsyou in a negative way, is there any truth to that?

There's no discount on cars the same as ammo, it's just when Rockstar discount the car parts the sale price goes down too.

Have you got any type of good behaviour discount? If so could you try selling some ballers and check how much you get please?

Yes there is no discount for cars bought on internet but there are discounts for transforming them at benny's and also other vehicle mods are discounted.

I get 9K for a baller, same as everyone else. 9500 for Felon GT or Sentinel. These prices will never change as they are 10% of the purchase price. NPC-modified cars such as the blurple Sentinel XS or the blue/yellow Sandkings will decrease in price during discount periods as they have mods fitted.

 

The only discounts are the temp ones from R*, which everyone gets.

Is being commended the only way to receive discounts in ammunition (apart from R* putting certain things on promotion sometimes)?

 

I seem to remember after reaching a certain rank, or joining the social club or something that you get 5%?

AFAIK 1 commend gets you a 5% discount on Ammo and some other 'shop' stuff, but that runs out pretty fast if you're a cu*t in freemode

 

The most I've had is 9%, and that lasted about 3 days. You don't get discounts on the big stuff like cars unless R* are trying to get you.... blah, blah, blah Shark Cards etc.

 

If you haven't received any discounts in 3 months maybe you're just not very nice ..(jk). I think you might need non-friends and non-crew to commend you, not sure.

Maybe it has to be done by different people.

You could at one point get discounts at LSC too even when they weren't being applied by an event, but I believe that was fixed as it was unintentional. Having said that, I did see a video from Broughy a little while ago which had discounted LSC stuff and there weren't discounts on/ no marker next to the items listings to designate that part being on sale. He is a day one player with a lot of "fame", shall we say, so I could understand that.

ive had it since december 2013. One of my friends who had the bonus commended me and boom a notification appeared that i now get a discount in shops for good behaivoir reports from 90% of players. Its either a 5% or 9% discount but im not sure. Friends i commend seem to get the discount as well.
