what do do guys do when in survival mode and a player goes afk

today i started a survival mode at the boneyard and i had a full lobby with mostly with players ranging from 60 - 114 and one level 7 player who went afk right at the start.

i voted to kick him and i messaged the other higher level players to vote to kick him because he was afk.

I don't often do suvivals with randoms but when I do I kick afk players.

I dont mind i do survivals by myself all the time so the way i see it as long as the afk player kills an enemy then he helped.

we lasted until wave 6 that was when i was killed and the level 7 player was afk the whole time and he was killed a few times.

Have they even fixed them? Last time I checked on here, some users reported that the ai was broken and wouldn't come after you

I do a lot of survivals, mostly on my own though. If playing with others and there's someone AFK, I simply leave and start another. Think I'm doing all the work? Yeah right.

They aren't broken, they're "fixed". The AI is baiting you to come out, it's worked more times than I care to admit.

 

On topic, I know kicking them is useless, if the host is afk I leave immediately, if it's someone else, I try everything in my power to get them killed and steal their ammo.

I get them kicked, usually on wave 7 or higher. I want to waste as much of their time as possible, since they are wasting ours by not playing while they passively benefit from our skill as we pick up their burden.

 

Incidentally, i never try to kick people who are helping, even if they keep getting zero kills and dying quick. But i always try to kick afk players. They piss me off that much. I am almost always successful getting them kicked.

 

For the record, after voting to kick them i send everyone a message saying "lets kick so-and so" followed by "pause online player so-and-so kick". It almost always works.

Only time I got pissed off in a survival was LG with my female char taking cover behind a dumpster, under heavy fire a guy just stands there trying to get upskirt shots.

I use them as a disstraction agains the AI.

 

 

Its pretty dumb to kick anyone. Ya sure it SUCKs that they are not helping. But an extra target for the AI is very useful...

There is a good reason to kick AFK survivalists - the amount of NPCs increases by up to 50% compared to when you play on your own, but if there's already two of you and the AFK player is the third, then it doesn't matter - let them die and distract the NPCs for a while. Yeah, it sucks they get $$ and RP for doing nothing, so don't play with them again.

I've done Survivals with just myself and one other player and they go AFK.

I usually just keep going, looking at it as though they aren't even there.
Honestly, I never thought to "kick" them, but it's a good reason to.

 

In the end, if I make to level 10, I'm happy. If not, well, business as usual.

I just give up on them and move on. Low Level Players are always known for going AFK and most don't last anyway.

Off topic but, lately in Survivals I have been trying to go Rambo. Not taking cover and just trying to take out the enemies as fast as possible. It's actually kind of fun instead of hiding all the time. Highest I've got up to is stage 8. What about you guys?

I remember a while back someone going AFK at the start of wave 2. Ya it was annoying... but no one tried to kick him.

 

 

At wave 10. We all died but him. He Magically sprang into action and killed the last 5 NPCS.

 

 

We where all cheering for his stupid ass at that point..lol
