NEW OUTFITS: Equip glowing helmet alone with ANY outfit

So with this new update and the release of these fancy glowing tron suits, I thought to myself...

There has to be a way to get the helmet on its own.

I mean, you can equip any helmet onto the outfit itself, but then you're stuck with a glowing onesie and some mismatched dome on top...

Anyway, I did some fiddling and found out that it was pretty easy.

None of these strategies were "invented" by me, but here's a step-by-step guide on how to equip a glowing helmet with any outfit you want!

(provided it is able to equip a motorcycle helmet from a bike. Damn you R* for patching the mask/helmet glitch...)

Step 1:

Step one is, well-... You gotta play the new adversary mode to unlock the bike and outfits.

So, get to work on that...

Keep in mind, you do not have to win. Just play.

Step 2:

Select your desired outfit/helmet.

Y2VYm2w.jpg

As you can see here, I have chosen the red outfit to get the red helmet.

Step 3:

Once you're wearing the outfit, you can go into your interaction menu and select "Deadline ____" as your auto-equip bike helmet.

(Note: auto-equip must be enabled)

j312JWo.jpg

Even if you buy every outfit, their helmets will not appear in the interaction menu. It only appears if you have the outfit and helmet on.

Step 4:

Now that your auto-equip helmet is selected, switch to the desired outfit that you want wearing it.

ueRydex.jpg

Step 5:

Get on a bike, and wait for your character to equip the helmet.

OEPAEyD.jpg

Your character should equip the helmet you selected. If they did not, then you did something wrong...

Step 6:

Drive to the mask store and browse their hats. But be quick! Make sure your character does not take off their helmet.

tGmxC3X.jpg

Don't try running into a clothing store, you will have taken the helmet off before ever getting to the counter...

Step 7:

Save the outfit! BUT, it's not over yet!

dKFgX2T.jpg

If you back out now and switch outfits, the helmet will disappear.

Step 8:

Drive back to a clothing store and change anything about your outfit.

OSwPkwW.jpg

As you can see here, I just unequipped my black gloves and then reequipped them.

Don't worry about your character taking off the helmet. They won't do so after you have saved the outfit.

Step 9:

Overwrite your outfit!

Qal08b7.jpg

Once overwritten, the helmet should stick.

Now you can switch outfits and it will remain on!

If you want a different helmet, or to equip one to a different outfit, you must go through all the steps again.

Happy trails.

Yeah.

Surprisingly though, a lot of people don't know these strategies.

So I wrote it out in an easy-to-understand way.

Otherwise, I'm sure plenty of others have figured it out.

I've not done anything with the helmet yet, but I've got t-shirt prints onto the suit. Disappears as soon as you try to save the outfit though.

The "red" outfit doesn't look very red to me. Am I going colour blind? It looks more pink.

That's kind of disappointing to me, as all of my bikes are themed white primary, and red secondary.

Maybe it's my laptop. I haven't had a chance to PS4 yet since the update.

Yeah the red isn't very red.

I agree the red is too dull it sucks. Compared to the yellow which glows in the day.

OT. Thank you for this, OP very helpful

Hey guys, thanks for the tips.

Question. Do I need to buy the Shotaro and upgrade its Engine, Transmission, Turbo and Brakes to be more competitive in Deadline adversary modes? Or does everyone get forced into using the standard bike? I'd rather not pay 3M for this bike just to be more competitive at Deadline.

Cheers

EDIT:
Does anybody know this? Do you have to buy the Shotaro to be more competitive at Deadline Adversary mode?

No, everyone uses the stock bike in deadline.

I've tried this to the letter on PS4, my auto select helmet changes to 'none' when I change my outfit.

When you change outfits, just get on the bike without fiddling with the menus. You should put the helmet on automatically.

2. Change to preferred (saved) Outfit. Get on your Bike. The Deadline Helmet should be put on now.

3. After that you can drive with this combination INTO your clubhouse garage, where the helmet won't be dropped. There you can save your outfit.

whetever i tried on telescope trick , it won't save

You can no longer put any mask with an helmet it gets removed immediately

However you can use this to add a bandana to a helmet

Not a big fan of those helmet designs. The visor looks rather strange to me. The Jackets are fancy but the red color isn't.

On PS4 trick doesn't work. Vespucci offers no saved outfits menu option and riding in to club house does allow you to keep wearing the helmet but as soon as you access the closet it disappears.

Try going to ammunition you can make it to the shoe section fast enough and save there.

Cool. Although it would appear that gloves (and possibly other accessories) are the only thing you can change when you get to the store. I tried to change the pants, jacket and shoes and each one removed the helmet.

So, why is this so difficult? We already dropped the $200,000 for the suit with the helmet, why can't we just put the helmet on separately? Is this going to break the game somehow? What gives?
