Hey there, I just wanted to let you know that if you don't want it to glow, put the secondary color to Chrome. That's the only color that doesn't light up. Even black lights up a little bit (looks light gray)

That's what I was going to say.

For those that think this bike purely gimmicky, you can (as he says) set secondary to chrome for no lighting or black for barely lit. You can take off the stupid tyre covers though the rims are still covered and it then looks almost normal.

I quite like mine in matte black primary & chrome secondary.

So far the game has had a HUGE focus on military equipment that doesn't fit very well for a GTA multiplayer experience.

 

I'm not ignoring that previous games have had a big dose of military gear, but this one took it to the next level. At the end of the day, it's not about catering to the little kids and Rockstar making content that fits in the universe, but it's about making a fun experience. That's the key word many of you guys missed here.

The new mode looks like fun, the new bike looks like a wacky mod you try with your friends. Because that's what the game is about, having fun. Sure, I like to roleplay in a realistic way, but that's my way of having fun. You can bet your ass that many adults are having a lot of fun with this update, same for kids and people from all ages, it's just the elitist players who are always complaining and being bitter about every single aspect they dislike.

 

Seriously, guys, it's not a big deal. Just have some fun and if you don't like this, go do something else in the same game. That's what makes GTAO great, it has a lot of things you can try. As for Rockstar breaking the game with every new update, well, that's a different topic.

Now this is one of the best comments I have read on this forum. I agree with you 100%. Videogaming should be about fun. That's why I play videogames.

 

Some people like to complain. I think some people on this forum complain so they can fit it with the other complainers. So really they're just trying to get along with people. Which is a good thing. I say let them complain.

What is this story mode you speak of?-Sharkstar games

Neither was I ever a big fan of Tron, nor of most of the adversary modes.
But there is (almost) nothing wrong with this one. It's fun for a bit, it's innovative, creative and balanced. The last balanced AM was Drop Zone.

But as always, there are negative things about it:
- the maps. Seriously. Some are way too simple, created in five minutes. Just why? You create an unique gamemode to only spent five minutes on a map?
- the filters. They are annoying and there needs to be an option to turn them off. Top-down view is completely useless.
- the limits. Maps could easily be double the size and fit 3x the amount of players then. 4 player max makes it impossible to use these as bonus jobs in playlists for example.
- the bugs. Is it rounds - or rounds to win? R* obviously couldn't decide.

And when it comes to racing, the Shotaro is definitely not the worst choice. Despite I don't like how it looks.

I get what you're saying about the moaning, entitled attitude on the forum, complaining about every last detail just because... but I still don't agree with you on GTA online being "FUN" and that's all it's about. Not when each slice of fun costs 2.25 million + engine upgrades + outfits. We're not talking about how much fun the Tron bike is, or how much fun the Deadline adversary mode is, but how much grinding and real life cash it all costs... presuming you're not a cheat... and that's not so much fun.

 

I bought the Shotaro tron bike last night - it's kind of great, but come on guys, it's a paint job for 2.5 million with engine upgrades. And Deadline is pretty fun for a few rounds...

 

But the real reason I'm posting this is the 50% bonus on MC business sales. If you've got two or three upgraded businesses, all you have to do is run a few supplies between each one, and sell a single bar at 100k+ a time (single vehicle). It's easy to make a million $ in a session, so that's one great thing about this Shotaro update. Make the most of it!

Yes, you've got to play the new adversary mode 'Deadline' at least once. It doesn't matter if you win or lose, just play it.

I think that people who say "lighten up it's just one bike" in response to complaints about this bike being silly and unrealistic aren't seeing the big picture.

 

This series has been around for fifteen years and judging from the way the games get more and more popular it'll be around a lot longer, it could even last forever in some form or other. It's only my opinion but I like GTA to be based in reality without anything that doesn't exist in the real world, there are plenty of other games out there to ride futuristic vehicles in.

 

If everyone buys the Tron bike what's it going to teach Rockstar? That people want something other than the best the real world can offer and because they'll be basing future games on the successes and failures of this one it seems like something that would snowball. What's one daft but fun thing, like a Tron bike? Nothing. Why not have another and go on let's have another.

 

That's my problem with the Tron bike, apart from the fact it looks awful, if this was the last game in the series it'd be fine but it certainly won't be and it sets a precedent that worries me.

There's way too much complaining these days... It reminds me of that time when the Donk got released. Lots of folks flaming Rockstar for releasing such a sh*tty vehicle,... ... I'm no fan of that Donk culture, but I bought one anyway and I still have it and enjoy it from time to time... It's a fun vehicle, it's nice to throw it into the mix now and then. Driving the same old car day in day out, is just boring. These vehicles add some salt to the mixture, although they're not everyone's cup of tea...

 

Now Tron bike.. I saw nicer vehiclesthan that, true... But I'm still gonna get one as it's unique in its looks and apparently it's performance is close to drag haku, currently my favourite bike to drive fast from point A to B, instead of relying on airvehicles, which I normally do. Shotaro bike is definitely very expensive, true... But the pricetag is just a sale of one large CEO-warehouse... That can be filled and sold in 3-4 days... We have the tools to earn it pretty quick... I don't see a problem there, especially when you anticipate and earn beforehand...

 

People complain too much these days... It's never enough... Let's all just enjoy the game, discard what you dont like and use what you do like.. Simple... :-)

I've turned my Coke operation back on during this event. It was off because the constant supply runs and and lack of upgrades didn't make it worthwhile $/hr return; plus, my first coke sale glitched and I lost the whole shipment, which soured me to it, especially when my Meth lab was more convenient and running smoothly.

Coke and Meth are the slowest-filling businesses so I have time to make several solo re-supplies between 1/1.5-bar sales runs.

 

I've done the math and $1,325,000 to upgrade the Coke equipment and staff would improve the product's value and make each shipment more profitable, but the event would end before I could make up that cost (based on the limited time I have to play). After the event ends it would take to much time and attention to make back the cost of the upgrades, let alone be profitable.

Making a million a day never was easier than in this event... One coke facility, one meth facility, throw in a few deadline rounds and bam, you made yourself a million richer... Do this for the remaining ten days, you'll easily make 10 million... IMHO shotaro bike was free, if you consider all the earning possibilities they currently gave us... Make the most of it, guys... Prepare for Christmas...;-)

 

I've had some time with the bike and I really like it.. I'll need to darken it completely though... It's way too visible in populated freeroam sessions and it makes jetgriefers' job way too easy... The Tron-suits likewise... I like them, but it's like putting a bullseye on your back... Within a session of just friends or friendly folks NP, but an aggressive session: Big no-no... :-) Or perhaps I just need to buy another Shotaro,which I'll keep as dark as possible...It's not exactly hard to earn cash these days...

Yes you can, the suit is one item and the helmet is another, both can be used separately. Helmets visor can also be lifted.

Don't get why people are so upset over just one bike. We already have a ton of normal vehicles in the game. It's not like this means they'll go full Saints Row from now on. If you don't like it then don't buy it. They can't cater to you with everything they release.
