I ran into this crew who talked a lot of sh*t, they all tried to corner me but I used it to my advantage. Will post a video of it here probably today.

I second this. The Zone power up does nothing apart from slow down time. It doesn't give the user an advantage in anyway. It's one of the few flaws I've came across:

 

- Zone power up is pointless as it only slows down time.

^^ not entirely correct - using slo-mo/Zone power lets you take tighter curves in that time - minor advantage but just saying.

 

Next to drop zone this is my adv. mode, tbh. Played it for hours now and will continue.

 

Good strategy for fast kills is to lurk on the others once the boost (flash) power-up pops-up :blink: and they try to get it. With a little practice 3 of 5 ran into my crossing line just because they're greedy to get it and drive in tunnel view - :)

 

Also, grief the respawning players - the time they're "passive" is always the same and it gets handy to know the distance from their spawnpoint to cross them at the point they went active.

 

Save a boost (flash) for the dome if the last two are tie.

 

What I miss / like to see added is a hardcore mode with only 90 degrees turns (as mentioned before) and that the jump work proper - sometimes I fly Ikarus-style to the sun - sometimes its like I ran over a match (each at full speed).

 

Anyway, love it!

I gave it another go tonight. I revoke my previous statement. The Host set it for 2 rounds and 5 minutes rather than the 15 minutes the first time I played it, I didn't mid it and though it was fun and will most likely play it again.

Random tip, but for the map with the tunnels that contain power ups in the center, a deviously effective tactic is to go head-to-head with another player as though you are trying to race them to the power up, but about 1/4 of the way through instead turn and drive up one side of the tunnel, then quickly turn towards the center and drive down and up the other side. This basically creates an wall along the edge of the entire bottom half of the tube, which if you timed it right will be near impossible for someone to evade if they just grabbed the power up and are going at a decent speed, almost guaranteeing their demise while also allowing you to evade their line by driving slightly up and along the side you ended up on if you mess up.

Still enjoying and loving Deadline! Also enjoy the double bonuses too :p But the kicking is really starting to piss me off :/

Novelty is just starting to wear off a little...but then I'm really not very good at it. I do love rolling around LS on my neon pink Tron bike, though.

I am really enjoying this mode. A lot. It's loads of fun.

 

I like how the game forces you to constantly develop strategies and then refine them depending on the strategy that your enemy is employing. I've noticed that usually there are one or two competitors that are kind of sucky, but I quickly develop a rivalry with the better enemies and find myself invested in destroying them.

 

I honestly have not had this much fun with GTA:O since it first came out.

I think I've found a bug in this game. If someone quits during a round then whoever wins that round wins the whole match, even if it's two rounds to win and they only won that one. It's happened quite a few times.

 

I've noticed this as well; it's the one thing that frustrates me about it because generally at least one person drops out after they are eliminated. When the mode is set to Deathmatch, drop outs do seem less common though.

 

Some of the maps are better than others, but I'm still a bit addicted to this; I haven't played this much of an Adversary Mode since Drop Zone were released and had double pay out. It's definitely among my top three favourites.

Yes! :(

 

It drives me insane; I end up having to sign out to story mode and back in after finishing. I've never liked this feature, but it seems so much more common within this game mode.

That explains why i got 2nd two rounds in a row, but only got 8k. Figured it was a bug.

Yeah I ADORE this game mode with a passion. It's made me over 3 million these last few days. I usually win every round, 90% of the time so that also helps.

 

Grind it now before the special ends!
