Deadline Adversary Mode

This is, with no exaggeration, far and away the most fun I've ever had in an adversary mode to date. Probably about the most unadulterated, bulls**t-free PvP fun I've had thus far too.

I only had one go on it but I really enjoyed it, I used to be quite hardcore playing Snake and although I think the films are crap I've always fancied a go at a light cycle duel.

 

If the bike was only available in the game mode and not as a PV I wouldn't have a problem with the bike at all.

Been reading that some people aren't sure whether to purchase the Shotaro. I definitely agree it's price is a little high but it's performance excells in everything. Literally, everything. It is basically a rocket on wheels.

I think I noticed yesterday the haku drag has better acceleration.... Was racing with a buddy who drove the haka drag.

Havent played long enough to know for sure though....

Chose a track with lot of hard turns and you will beat your friend even if he's better driver than you. Handling of Shotato much and I mean MUCH better than HD's.

Anyway, every time I win a match in this mode, I get kicked from the next lobby. Any idea what causes this?

You have to understand that "everything" means "handling" and nothing else. On a balanced track both motorcycles are equal in result with the Shotaro dominating in the corners and the Hakouchu Drag pulling ahead on the straights. These are two very interesting different yet equally strong motorcycles. And for this new Adversary Mode the Shotaro is a perfect fit. Its grip feels just as unreal as a "Tron" bike's should. ^^

Played it just because I wanted to unlock the bike, figured I would hate it like I do all other Adversary Modes other than Slasher. We ended up playing it for over 4 hours nonstop until 2 in the morning. It's just fun, I don't know why it's so fun but it is, I cant stop playing it.

Jealousy Probably. Someone put a bounty on me yesterday just bcuz i was driving it around yesterday.

Tried to join at least two dozen times, each one saying, "Unable to connect to game server," bouncing me back to an empty Free Roam lobby each time.

I also got a message saying, "For a limited time, get exclusive clothing when you purchase the Shotaro from Legendary."

Of course, in the Legendary menu, it does not appear.

Can't buy the bike without finishing a round of Deadline

Can't join Deadline because of demand

You should have at least a week to do it, though.

 

Consider opening a Support ticket about it. They may give you the shirt as a concession of having difficulty of joining a Deadline match

Me and my brother used to play that when we were little. Fun times! Deadline really brings the nostalgia back for me. The original Tron movie is much better too.

Well I got kicked for being in the lead, dammit. Although this sounds a little dumb, try staying away from randoms in the same crew... Really f*cked me up after 8 minutes of getting them. All that work just to be kicked

 

Anyway, it hasn't put me off of playing. It's absolutely excellent and after all day playing, in my opinion it now tops Slasher and Power Play Massive thumbs up for Rockstar!

Played this game again yesterday and had the best match of all time. Won the first round, lost the next 3, each with a different winner and got to a 5th round shoot out and won. enjoyed every minute and got 30k+ for the effort.

I'll admit, when I first tried this I wasn't so sure whether I enjoyed it or not. I didn't do so well the first round, so it took that to even figure it all out. I've never seen the film Tron--if I have, it has been too long to remember and I admit that I'm not much for futuristic type things (especially within the GTA world), but damn, I have been playing this non-stop today, and it has easily become of my favourite Adversary Modes by a long shot.

 

I don't mind either setting, but I prefer the Last Person Standing over the Deathmatch. My only wish is that it could hold more than four players; at least eight to twelve would be nice!

 

This is great fun; if you've only tried it a couple of times and didn't think so highly of it, it is definitely worth giving another chance.

Yeah, it gets boring after a few rounds.

Sucks when the host sets it to 3 and everyone ends up winning 2 before somebody finally won a third time(Everyone kept ganging up on me after I won the first two rounds so I didn't get the chance lol)

Love the sudden death mode, been riding my all matte black shotaro all day, handles like a dream, sounds and looks so cool, I don't think I'll be driving anything else for a while!

Just did my first game of this yesterday. I sucked at the first round because I didn't know what I was doing but then in the second round (there were 2) I was kicking ass. I tried with this one dude, we both had 8/10 so we had to go into the center of the arena. Guess what happens? I run into his bike trail right when I get into it because he came from the direction to the right. That round didn't even start but the way it was set up was weird. I was pretty pissed but oh well.
