Game freezes with Keyboard input

Hey everyone,

I've been having this annoying freeze for weeks now and I can't seem to find how to fix it nor whats causing it.

 

Basically what happens is, I launch GTA V (build 1.36 online) and whenever I move my mouse or hit a key on my keyboard the game just freezes. it just stops working. It happens while loading and also while in game. I have my PS3 controller (faked to make it look like a xbox360 controller or else its not compatible.) connected which works fine, it's the only way for me to play the game. But this means there's a very limited amount of mods to use because most of them don't have controller support and require you to press Y and N or F8 etc.

 

What I've found researching so far is that it could be this:

Basically it says that ScripthookV is causing this because it doesn't allow combining of a controller with mouse/keyboard.

 

There's a few problems:

1. I don't use x360ce so it can't be it, but those people have similar problems.

2. When I am ingame and go to settings and change my mouse input around a bit it will sometimes show my cursor on screen and I can use my mouse and controller at the same time (still no keyboard) so combining is possible but very tricky and limited.

3. When I unplug my controller and even delete it from device manager and then launch GTA it will still freeze when using mouse and keyboard, even though I'm not combining it with my controller it still crashes.

I also read something about it being a certain Windows 10 version/build which is causing it, but I can't seem to recover my PC to older builds since it has been more than 10 days since my last update so I'm not allowed to go back anymore.

I would very much appreciate it if someone has any tips for me or maybe some ideas what to try next, because I'm really losing hope.

 

TLDR: My GTA V crashes when I use my mouse and keyboard instead of my controller so I'm very limited to modding. It could be multiple things causing which makes it difficult for me to figure out.
