What other cars should be multi-class?

I wouldn't try and make sense of how and why R* classify their cars, Once you see the Blista Compact in the Sports Class you pretty much know that common sense is not applied.

 

I would like to see the classes fixed before more cars are given the dual class treatment, unless of course R* just give us multi-class racing then all this nonsense can be overlooked.

I agree with many of you, the Blista Compact being in Sports is pure nonsense.

Theres quite a few vehicles that could stand to be reclassed. I've always said a 'competition class' for the race versions of cars with decals and stuff would be pretty cool. But really, i'd love an open race option to choose any car you wanted, that would make for some epic race battles between sport and lower end supers. Also, i get the 'super transmission' but did the Sultan RS really need to be in the super class in the first place? :blink:

The Monroe should also be available in the Sports class, it is more than capable. The Sanchez should be available in the motorcycle and Off-Road because it is both. I would love to see a new class created just for chopper and Harley style bikes with no cafe,drag bikes or crotch rockets available to chose from.

Considering it has specs equal to or greater than several vehicles in the Sports class I strongly disagree. I also believe the Coquette Classic would make a great double class for the Sports & Sports Classics. The entire Sports Classics class is a hodge-podge of a class that makes absolutely no since. There's several vehicles that shouldn't even be in it, the Manana, Roosevelt, Peyote & Tornado. They should either be re-classed as Sedan or Muscle or completely re-categorized as just a simple "Classic" category.

Blista Compact, the Drift Tampa in Offroad and Stirling GT being in Sports are pretty much the two compact which I think could be multi-class.

This is pretty spot on.

 

I'd also put the Raptor to Compacts, and multi-class the Tropos Rallye to Sports Classics.

 

It's also BS when people reason that if it's put into a class it can never be moved (or nerfed/buffed). So many other games do this for balance and it's highly welcomed IMO. Rockstar is just lazy.

Most importantly, the current Supercars and Sports race categories are pretty well balanced, especially after the Rockstar nerf of the RE-7B bug. And with the exception of the difficult-handling Dominator, the Muscle cars category is also well balanced. These are the top three racing categories, and thankfully Rockstar got this right.

There are some stupid errors though, like the Stirling GT ruining the sports classics class, the Schafter V12 (armoured) ruining the sedans class, and the BF400 and Sanchez ruining the off-road class, but like the OP said, Rockstar don't do anything about this, so what can we do?

 

And I agree with what the OP says:

Declasse Drift Tampa, should also be available in the Muscle category.
Declasse Moonbeam, should also be available in the Vans category.

+

The Dinka Blista should also be available in the Compacts category.

There's no point owning any of the above three vehicles if you like racing because they're currently useless in their current categories.

Agreed. Been racing for 3 years now lol. We know these cars. Monroe and Coquette Classic would get f*cking owned in Sports class.

 

Not sure what specs he means, but I go by lap times.

Rockstar is capable of changing classes. They've done it in the past. Remember the Ratloader? It used to be a Muscle. Then they removed it from everybodies garage, re-classed it as a Utility, and told players they weren't supposed to be able to own it because it's a Utility class vehicle. Then they made it purchasable again and re-classed it back to Muscle.

No, that is false. It was never Utility. I know, I tested many times. It was always, always, always Muscle. Some bonehead from Rockstar on the Support site gave that bogus excuse and it was a complete lie.

 

I had 3 Rat Loaders when that happened. I immediately went to Sandy Shores, got another one, and sure enough, still Muscle Class. I tried many times during that period to store them again. Always Muscle Class, oh, and never available in Utility class races by the way.

 

Sorry, still a bit sore about that one. I was f*cking pissed.

Agreed. Been racing for 3 years now lol. We know these cars. Monroe and Coquette Classic would get f*cking owned in Sports class.

I've also been racing since the launch of GTAV. lol The Sports Classics, Sports & Muscle classes are my top favorite classes so I know these cars really, really well and I stand by what I'm saying. The Monroe is my top pick in the Sports Classics and I've won a ton of races with it and I consider it easily one of the top of the class. Just because I'm new around here don't fool yourself thinking I'm new to this game. I've been gaming for a good 35 years now and have always been a fan of the GTA series.

I remember when they did that. They removed mine from my garage (and tons of other peoples) and then later on they fixed it and gave a big apology to everyone and gave them away for free for a short period of time. And if I remember correctly they also made it free for all the upgrades for that short period of time.

Well, the Monroe was at the top of it's class. It is a good car, but in a competitive racing situation nobody has used it for quite some time now. Stirling will eat it up all day, which by the way is proven to be the best Sports Classic racer, and at the moment is actually selectable for Sports class racing as well.

 

It get's destroyed in Sports class.

Edit: Yeah that is correct about the Ratloader. It was free and its mods were free for a while after the Valentines Update 2014.

I would like them to balence the vehicles they have:)

 

Make the bullet and vacca competitive and the penumbra :)

 

Each car needs its niche.

 

Then when you finish a race it would be cool to see that the only feltzer wins against a crowd of elegy and ruffle some feathers :)

While we are at it the Sentinel XS desperately needs a buff and to be moved to sports, that thing is pathetically slow :(

 

Also, the Voltic should go to sports class.

Sports-Voltic, Banshee 900r, Sultan RS, Vacca and Bullet

 

Coupes-Ocelet Lynx, Albany Alpha, Schwartzer, Furore GT, Bravado Verlierer and Bestia maybe.

 

Sedans-Oracle, Felon, Jackel and WIndsor Drop, Buffalo(S)

 

Off Road-Omnis, Rallye

 

Muscle-Coquette Classic and Mamba

 

Sports Classic-Voodoo, Virgo, Rat-Loader, Hotknife, Faction, Chino, Rallye

 

I think for the offroad class that the Sanchez and BF400 should seriously be in their own class tbh since they completely ruin the offroad class. Anyways lemme know your thoughts.

The two that I really want to see changed are the Sultan RS to sports and the Buffalo S to muscle. Two of my favorite cars but they just can't compete with the other cars in their current race class.

I highlighted in red your picks I don't agree with. Starting with Coquette Classic and Mamba, those aren't really muscle cars: both are sports cars, and enthusiasts would never categorize either of their real life counterparts [Corvette and Shelby] as muscle cars. Also, the Faction is based on the Buick GNX/ Grand National, which are 80s cars, so I don't really think it matches the definition of "classic", according to the other vehicles of that class. Same applies to the Tropos Rallye, whose real life Lancia Stratos, while we can also call it a classic, doesn't seem to fit on the age R* considers to be a classic, thus not fitting really well on that category.
