What other cars should be multi-class?

So for some odd reason despite doing lots of other stuff that piss players off, R* seems to stick to their guns and are unwilling to remove a car from one race class to place it somewhere else. But, that being said they do seem willing to open cars to multiple classes. Some examples of this came as recently as the Biker DLC where the Steling GT is allowed both in Sports Classics and Sports class. Then you also have the BF400 and Sanchez that are motorcycles but open to Off Road as a secondary class.

So this being said what other cars would you like added to a secondary class?

Here are mine.

Drift Tampa (Sports) - Muscle.

-- Now I get it, the Drift Tampa is technically already in the correct class being a modified race car. This wouldn't be so bad except that in Sports class it's utterly useless, it's on the bottom end of the Sports class and is vastly outmatched by the top Sports cars.

The lap times the Drift Tampa pulls in are actually very close to the Sabre Turbo Custom/Pisswasser Dominator. So with it built to compete against those cars, and with it being a race car build on a Muscle car frame (or at least having a Muscle car body), then why not open the car to Muscle class as secondary. At least the Drift Tampa would then at least be useful and somewhat worth the 900k price tag.

Pisswasser Dominator (Muscle) - Sports.

-- Even though it'd get obliterated much like the Drift Tampa, logically shouldn't this car be at least optional for Sports class? After all if the Drift Tampa which is a suped up racing version of the Tampa counts as a Sports car. Then why don't the Pisswasser Dominator which is a suped up racing version of the Dominator count as Sports as well?

Redwood Gauntlet (Muscle) - Sports.

-- See the Dominator argument.

Burgershot Stallion (Muscle) - Sports.

-- See the Dominator argument.

Buffalo S/Spunk Buffalo S (Sports) - Muscle.

-- Hold on, put the pitch forks down people. I realize the American view of a Muscle car is a (usually) large 2 door rear wheel drive with a massive engine. But the concept of a 4 door muscle car isn't unheard of, especially in places outside America. I mean didn't Dodge themselves call the modern Charger a muscle? And even if they didn't, really, can you look at this and honestly say it's not a Muscle car?

https://roadmuscle.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/4-door-muscle-cars-2608.jpg

I know the Buffalo used to be to fast for Muscle. But with the Sabre Turbo Custom and Pisswasser Dominator, and lets assume the Drift Tampa gets added. Then the Buffalo should be pretty well on the pace, shouldn't it?

Moonbean (Muscle) - Vans.

-- Now I get maybe why it was placed in Muscle. It's a modified pimped out rig with hydraulics and such. But really, you look at the damn thing and first thing you think is van. And it's balanced lap time wise with the others vans in the Vans class. The Moonbeam in Muscle class is even more worthless then the Drift Tampa in Sports, which is very sad indeed. So let it be in the Vans class, as I said with the Drift Tampa, it'll at least then be usable.

Shafter V12 (Sports) - Sedans.

-- The Sedans class is already broke to hell anyway with the Shafter V12 (armored) being completely dominate. Adding the Shafter V12 can't possibly do any more damage then what's already done, and people seemed confused as to why it's even in Sports class to start with. So the Shafter V12 may as well go to Sedans.

So if Rockstar keeps making more class corrections by adding vehicles to a secondary class. What cars would you like to see go where? Do you agree with my thoughts above? Let me know.

All the four doors locked to coupe should be added to sedan. I've always wonder how R* could justify putting 4 door cars into a coupe class. Complete bullsh*t!

The regular (non-armoured) Schafter V12 can now be used within Sedan races. The Moonbeam would be somewhat competitive with the Gang Burrito in Vans, but van races are extremely uncommon--more so than Sedan races. Drift Tampa should definitely go to Muscle, but it would be pointless to put all of those free race car muscle variants in the Sports class.

There should be an option to race open classes though; meaning: any combination of cars from any class.

Edit: I've also heavily advocated the removal of the dirt bikes (Sanchez, BF400) from the Off-Road class since day one. Unfortunately, it makes Off-Road races completely unbalanced and not at all interesting (or fun) when everyone is on a dirt bike.

Blista Compact for Compacts?

Good one. I forgot about the Blista Compact.

Trust me I know the muscle variants would be utterly useless in Sports. I mean just to be technically correct, they are race cars. They'd do absolutely nothing at all in Sports class. But technically speaking a race car should be in Sports right?

Either way I'd love a open race class. But right now we have to work with what we got.

Perhaps (depending on how you define Sports), but in my opinion, it would just create more useless clutter when attempting to select your car at the starting screen.

Out of all of the choices though, the Drift Tampa moving to Muscle would be the best move by a long shot.

Faggio.

You should be able to choose this for every ground race.

Don't tell me you wouldn't have fun as the only Faggio in a race full of Liberators.

This would be assuming that R* is all about balance in their game.

They care about balance, but they are kind of sloppy about it, and this game is so old already I hardly believe that R* would care about this.

And it doesn't matter how you balance each class, in the end the kiddies will buy whats faster or has a marginally higher advantage over other cars, unless each car class is tweaked so every vehicle on it performs the exactly same as every other( which would be boring and wouldn't sell shark cards).

My suggestion is doing away with the whole class system and add Performance Points, then in the race lobby you choose which range of PP you want the race to be restricted to.

I recently held my created race around mt chiliad in offroad class there was 20+racers on bikes, quads, dunes, buggys, insurgents etc etc and what a blast it was loads of different vehicles smashing and clattering their way through this treacherous task :D. Rockstar should give us the option to make created races not class locked but anything goes fun isn't always about winning i came 3rd in this but it was the most fun and intense race ive ever done :)

I remember that in Fallout New Vegas, some weapons added in one DLC could not be affected by a perk from another DLC, even if it makes perfect sense. Info from one DLC could not be used to patch or modify à past DLC.

I believe GTAO updates are the same. Once they are released they cannot be modified. We had a couple of vehicles from the original game which were moved from another class. The Oracle used to be sports. But they cannot do that with a DLC vehicle. That's why the mistake with the armored V12 and the LWB schafter being switched was never patched. That's why they added the Stirling GT to the sports class without changing completely its classification.

R* probably cannot change these cars. The best thing we can do is to pray for them to learn from their mistakes and think about racing balance from day 1 when they gonna program GTA6.

Thats an interesting theory but the Stirling GT being added to the sports class in the bikers update debunks it.

It was added to Sports, but it's default classification never changed as it's still optional in Sports Classics. So this guys theory holds up. They can modify the car settings but not change it completely.

And it's this concept my post suggest at adding to other cars. We all know R* won't remove these cars from it's default class, but even if they leave them as are and make them optional in their proper class, the game will be in better standing then it is now.

Who gives a sh*t???

Only one of the biggest communities in GTA.

Really why do you think R* always include some type of vehicles in every update? Why are vehicles being overpriced at 2-3 million GTA dollars instead of new guys?

Vehicles sell, and the GTA racing community is one of the biggest and most vocal groups there is out there. If we're not as big as the deathmatch/free roam community then we're easily second to it.

They should just remove classes althogether. They serve no function except in races, and even then they are, as evidenced, perfectly capable of putting one vehicle into several classes. And don't get me started on all the cars that ruin classes...

I actually believe the Stirling GT being in Sports is a mistake. I don't think they meant for that to happen.

I am all for a little rebalancing though, in addition to a completely open racing class.

Edit: When the Brawler was released, during the event weekend they made it possible to race it in the Muscle class. Like it was on purpose, they announced it and everything. That is a perfect example of how different classes can mesh together for a fun experience, and they can do it with just tunables.

lol IKR, Rockstar breaks the very definitions of what sedans and coupes are! And it's always pissed me off.

The Buffalo's are Muscle cars and should never have been in the Sport's class to begin with. Muscle and Sedan actually make sense for those 2 cars but not Sports. The Banshee could be Muscle and Sports. Just like how Corvette's and Vipers fit into both classes. When tuned up they are kinda American Super cars as well. All the 4 doors should be in Sedans as a Primary class for example and then break things down from there into special classes. For example the Karuma would be in Sedans as it's primary class and then it's secondary class would be Tuners

So basically a platform wide game update to make more sense out of the car classes. For example the Enduro is a dirtbike but on PS3 you can't use it in off road races like you can the Sanchez so why bother with it unless you just like how it looks.

First of all, it's called the schafter. I get it, sch is not a common thing in english, but the schafter has been in gta for a while now.

Schwartzer should be in coupes, every single 4 door that's in sports/coupes should be usable in sedan races. Imo, vehicles like the sultan or kuruma are sedans.
