The VC Beta Edition V4 will be include fully remade early beta Tommy,Beta airport,beta animations and more and will be bigger version of beta edition kalvin.

I found a beta tommy face very early that were reused in peds called chef.dff and chef.txd you can edit his head just by putting in player.dff used in 3ds max or zmodeler.

Thanks it was easy to find no one realized this so someone uses this head to make the true Tommy beta with face that had in alpha.

I'm sorry if the image got a problem because I got it from the wiki url.

Yeah, I'm aware of the chef, it's been a known thing for years now - in fact, I believe Braindawg used it years ago on his beta Tommy.

 

To kick off V4, I've been using the Chef along with Sergiu, The Hero & Jago giving me a few pointers to make a whole new set of Tommy's, which should hopefully have a near to perfectly accurate body.

Along with the body, I've also been making the heads. Though they still need a bit of tweaking, I'm pretty satisfied with the results so far.

Even if by chance they aren't all that accurate (which they should be!), they're definitely better than the ones untouched since V1 (they were embarassingly lazy).

Meanwhile, I've been working on a few areas on the map, my focus has mainly been Tommy to start with so map has only just started being dealt with.

 

Several areas have been worked on already but an area in South Washington has endured the most work so far for this version (something that'll be shortlived), so I thought I'd show that off to you guys.

It's going to be a while yet until any form of release, but hopefully you guys aren't too impatient! This version is going to be worked on a fair bit less than previously so it won't be out all that soon.

The focus for this release, as it were with all the others, is to do as much as I can before calling it a day for the time being.

 

The list is getting progressively smaller, so if this isn't the final release, V5 will be.

I wanted to do gator keys but I don't want to do it in 3ds max as well as kalvin could do that.

Yeah I have watched both videos of Badger Godger about Gator Keys. But thing is Kalvin can't just make a new location using only some Unused Phonecall (Which even doesn't tell where was Gator Keys is located) and a Grass leftover in PS2.

The Radar was blue in beta so those aren't 2 bridges (He said that in the 2nd video about Gator Keys. Which is confirmed by Kalvin himself)

Those maps are actually fan made.

The second picture doesn't make sense, that place it's NOT located to "Gator Keys".

And all they got It's just a Phone call or something, and that's all!

It's gonna be very DIFFICULT to re-create a whole "Gator Keys".

I've investigated and realised that this does happen. I have found a solution, although unfortunately it isn't a simple one.

 

You'll have to grab this: https://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=63 & use it to open up gta3.img (File > Open) found in the game's models folder, then add the files (Commands > Add) "delcsb.dff"/"delcsb.txd" and "csm4.dff"/"csm4.txd" found inside the mod's gta3.img folder. Close (or rebuild if you wish - Commands > Rebuild Archive) and it should work.

But you'know, we all have something called: creativity and imagination.

 

Yes, we all know that no radar map exist of it nor even official screenshots, but that doesn't mean you can't create one.

Thanks to that mentality, nobody have made a single mod that brings back the Gator Keys back to Vice City.

 

How about y'all stop shouting "no it dont exist, so its impossibru 2 do" everytime, and make the first, proper Gator Keys mod for Vice City for once.

 

I don't care where it should have been nor how Rockstar imagined that thing, you can base it from the real photographs of the real Florida Keys and nothing stops your creative or imagination of how it should have been.

At least we would have the first Gator Keys mod for Vice City, after 17 years of game modding.

 

 

 

I mean, there is one person doing Upstate Liberty for GTA III, which lacks of any original Rockstar base nor official screenshot - and he's doing landmasses, not islands with bridges, why? Because he has imagination and creativity!

 

How hard it can be making a bunch of islands connected with a bridge to mainland Vice City? I'm no modeler, but I bet making a bunch of small islands with a bridge connected to the existing city is way easier than creating a huge new landmass.

 

Sorry for the rant here, but that's just a cheap and lazy excuse.

This is a beta mod, not an imagination mod. Since there is nothing we know about the gator keys, it's out of the scope of this mod.

Plus he'd have to keep within the original map boundaries to not get too far out by using limit adjusters, so with that in mind AND based off the information we do know, you'd only end up with something small like this:

Uhmm... I said "very DIFFICULT", not impossible! 

But, Idk,talking about "creativity" and stuff, sure! Nobody says you can't try at least, I hope It will be Possible.

I think that "Gator Keys" is something of a false rumor, like the "L Is Real 2401" rumor from Super Mario 64.

It's not. Aaron Garbut said they experimented with it at some point in development:

There is also a left-over texture (not exclusively on PS2, don't know where people got this from?) in the airport's LOD (ap_LOD.txd):
