PB&Ritz
Announcement trailer was posted on June 13th, this year. So, what do you guys think of the game in general? Did any of you get in the closed beta that recently started back on October 25th? (personally I have, and I like it for the most part) I'll probably post more to the OP if there's people willing to share their thoughts or experiences. bloatedsack
The trailer is bad. I don't know what that's trying to say. I would actually play a Gwent game if it was cheap. It was the best part about Witcher 3.
GTA_stu
I absolutely hated gwent in my first playthrough of TWIII. I completely ignored it and then couldn't do the gwent tournament at the brothel and I got fed up and didn't play the game for ages. Then I started a new game and actually bothered with gwent, and I loved it. It's awesome once you get into it. Won't be getting this though, wouldn't have anyone to play it with for a start. An online MP game would have been better I think.
El Dildo
yeah I really loved Gwent within the contexts of the Witcher 3, but this standalone version with all of these added features doesn't really appeal to me for some reason
PoeticWhisper
I like the idea of gwent, I think its a good card game. But I absolutely f*cking suck at it. Like miserable amounts of suck. I lose to shopkeepers all the time, despite me buying every gwent card I come across. Didn't even attempt to do any of the tournament quests. I will no doubt suck at this too, no doubt about it. Edited November 7, 2016 by PoeticWhisper
PB&Ritz
The trailer is bad. I don't know what that's trying to say. I would actually play a Gwent game if it was cheap. It was the best part about Witcher 3. Yeah, it's pretty corny - but at least they have a cool behind-the-scenes video where they show certain cosplayers explaining how they made their costumes. And I suppose it's trying to say that it's going to get popular enough to the point where it can rival other card games like Hearthstone. You don't have to pay for the upcoming Gwent standalone either, it's supposed to be F2P when it comes out. I absolutely hated gwent in my first playthrough of TWIII. An online MP game would have been better I think. This version of Gwent does technically have online multiplayer. Plus, you can get it anytime you want (if you change your mind) since it'll be F2P regardless. I personally think it's satisfying beating random peoples' decks as well. yeah I really loved Gwent within the contexts of the Witcher 3, but this standalone version with all of these added features doesn't really appeal to me for some reason The only true actual features included in this are the online play, option of playing cross-platform with other people, and being able to create and edit multiple card decks imo. The rest will be mostly familiar with the exception of old cards being redone and a good amount of new ones getting added. I like the idea of gwent, I think its a good card game. You can always change the Gwent difficulty to easy in TW3 if you didn't know or haven't done so already. bloatedsack
The downside to F2P is that it's basically implied that I'll be buying cards to beat people, and that'll turn it all into a big massive pile of overly designed "meta" sh*t. Which is a shame, coz Gwent was fun. Anywyas, if it's free I'd probably definatly try it out til F2P mechanics pushed me away.
