Is it still safe to play? Victim of hackers, ticket enquire not solved

I was playing this morning, driving around the airport and noticed a group of players in one of the hangers. One had already taken a shot at me so I went in to Passive Mode and approached to see what they were up to, as you do...

After a few seconds one or more of them begun dropping/spawning bags of cash, I walked away back to my car and saw I had picked up ~$550k. I immediately reset my computer to disconnect as fast as possible and when I reloaded the game the cash was still on my person (not in Maze bank account). I closed the game and submitted a ticket to Rockstar telling them what happened and requesting they remove the dodgey money from my account.

Within a few mins I got an automated reply stating "Your request (#xxxxxxx) has been marked as solved". Yet the money remains, I'm very reluctant to play online until it's gone out of concern that indirectly using the cash could have negative effects upon my account, in-game finances and so on.

There was a link to a tracker for the ticket but it just goes to an error page saying "the address is wrong or the page has moved".

Have send a follow up email asking for a direct confirmation from Rockstar as to my dilemma. Has anyone had a similar situation or any advice as to weather or not it is safe for me to play on the assumption that their investigation is complete and the money is some form or reward for my honesty, I just don't want to do anything to jeopardise my character.

I wouldnt worry about it. Players dont really get banned for having money dropped on them as you arent breaking any rules. Ive seen guys get a hundred mill dropped on them with no issues.

Usually when you submit a ticket the first response is always an auto response. If you really want the money removed keep responding to the ticket or start new ones, or you can even post on their support page.
