Kicked From Session

Ive been happily playing online in an empty server and when one or two people come in i get a message saying players are voting to kick me.

 

I can't find any options that allow players to do this.

 

Another message said that players are voting to kick me out. Adjust your behaviour or something similar. I mean, really? I'm just grabbing crates and taking them to warehouses by myself!!

 

Is this normal or am I doing something to trigger the game kicking me?

You aren't doing anything wrong. Players can simply remove others from public sessions if enough people (a percentage like in most games) vote for that.

Lots of players are trying to get CEO and MC business activities done in low-pop or empty public sessions for obvious reasons. But some of them (us*) don't want to take the chance of playing with even a single other player in the session who isn't their friend, prospect or associate.

There's always a risk, no matter the amount of players, that someone will go out of their way to bother those people, but with just a few people doing their own thing it's not always very likely. I've seen plenty of sessions with even up to 10 people who were all in groups, not bothering eachother.

 

But instead of leaving the session themselves or doing something to "split" the lobby, these people resort to kicking you out the first chance they get.

It is not you, it is most definitely them.

 

My advice would be to either split the session yourself using any of the available methods mentioned in glitch or guide threads or to keep looking for that session where there's only one other player, TWO groups minimum or noone at all.

One player obviously can't kick you. If there's two separate groups playing it's unlikely they'll vote against you together and if there's noone then ofcourse you're done looking.

 

You see just one MC, one organisation or one crew (tag) playing? Get out, don't waste time waiting to get kicked.

One thing I do when I spawn into a lobby with one MC or CEO team working and I'm the only other one is text the leader and say "hey I'm gonna mind my own business and do my missions I won't interfere with your work"..

 

I'd say that 9x's out of 10 I get a text back "okay, thanks" or a thanks over the mic and I go about my business.

For some it will, yeah. But the ones I was referring to don't even give you time for that. They want you out ASAP.

I haven't sent out messages myself but have replied to a number of them, asking me to leave them alone. But the people sending those out are generally more reasonable and less likely to try and kick you, especially because they might be sending the messages out of desperation. Not being able to find an empty session, not having friends to back them up, etc. So that's why I now resort to doing what I said earlier, leaving when there's only one group in the session. MC, organisation or crew as indicated by tag = I'm out.
