Special items in chaotic sessions

I was changing sessions hoping to get into an empty or peaceful one but I landed in a large chaotic one and got a call from the assistant about a special item.

Was hesitant at first because people were getting killed every few seconds but decided to go for it anyway. Too bad I got connection issues and failed.

I'll never know if I could have done it anyway but do guys try to collect those special items in chaotic sessions?

Sometimes because if you're lucky players will be too busy killing one another. Just gotta risk and see tbh

I LIKE THE DANGER! THE THRILL! THIS QUENCHES MY THIRST FOR ACTION, BLOOD AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, DESTRUCTION!!!!!!!!!!

in short, yeah I do it because either everyone's too busy killing everyone around them like a psychopath to notice I'm right behind them with a Switchblade and a Expensive Red Suit, Or I get lagged out during the middle of it resulting in a empty session.

The bigger deal's not if the session's full or not, but if there are any jets around. Those are the biggest threat to cargo.

Having said that, I'd definitely recommend being in an empty session for that kind of work. But if it just creeps up on you, I'm not sure there's really another option?

For a special cargo item, you can use ghost organization and still turn a profit anyway, so that might keep you safe.

I´d wait a bit , till some log off or until they finish their "war" ... then I d collect it , it only could be collectable in that particular session anyway , otherwise it gets lost once changing the session.

I´d call my Hydra for that ....

other possibility is that you ask a friend to join the session and help you ...

i picked up a special item last night solo in a session with about 12 other players. (didn't sell it yet)

certainly made it much more exciting than doing it in an empty lobby.

not sure i'd attempt it in a full lobby---regardless of if it was chaotic or chill

You got a call?

They switched to on-screen messages. Did they switch back?

Cackling Jack

Ive sold a special item in a half full lobby. They were too busy killing each other to even realize I was selling it. Got $95000 for it.

Just go off the radar once you've picked it up. You can cover a lot of distance in a minute if you're prepared.

I just yank the cable between router and modem for 7-9 seconds then plug it back in to lag out into a solo session and pick it up with no interference. In fact I tend to lag myself out as soon as I load GTA up & want to do any kind of cratework these days and repeatedly do so when people start getting put back in the session with me.

Tricky, but certainly doable in a chaotic lobby since we are talking about a single crate...

Once you feel the need to use Ghost Organization, immediately change routes so no one can guess where are you. Also you have to watch out for jets

You could get out a jet in hopes it's a single package. That's what I do, then you simply touch it then blast to your warehouse and wait for a later time to sell it. :)

If it's in a Surfer van though, lol RIP cause you ain't making that unless you Ghost Org(Which noms on profits but will still make you money unless it's the Sasquatch outfit)

U guys that have millions should try in a full crazy lobby, I mean you don't need the money and have nothing to lose, it can be fun, exciting and thrilling....

What y'all scared of? You die and respawn, you lose try and angina and get better, video game right?

Yea why not. You can only die.

..and lose the $23k it cost to purchase it.

i did that once.

I had 3 friends with me and we were at the u-tool in blaine county. Next thing i know a jet comes so me and another friend held the jet off while the 3rd one took my armored XLS and after 4 minutes we won.

So it can be safe if you got friends if not well i dont know if the risk is worth it.

I'm showing my ignorance here, but can you sell special items at any time independently of your warehouse status (i.e. even if its empty, or only half-full?)

Assumingly(?), minus $23,000, so your actual profit was $72,000 (still not too bad, considering)?

For my small warehouse, net profit isn't much for the time involved:

$225,000 (small warehouse, 16-crate total)
- 90,000 (15 crates (five 3-crate pickups @ 18k each.)
- 2,000 (1 crate @ $2,000)
--------
$133,000 (net profit)

I believe so,yes. It's a fourth option on the warehouse's laptop. You can't,however, sell the special items separately

Once you have picked up the item, call a hydra then go off radar and get to it as quick as you can. Fly high so only another jet can get to you then jump out and skydive to your warehouse.

No Use For A Name

It'll still show the beeping package even if you're off radar.

Never had it happen, but if I did it'd be the first and last time I used ghost org

Same here.

I don't know - maybe it was a satirical post or something lol? I mean, post van versus Hydra? Really?

That's like one of those $$$$+rp deathmatches. Boring and one-sided.

Did they? I guess I need to start paying attention to those messages more I might have missed a few if that's the case. It's always been calls for me.

Oh damn I completely forgot about ghost org. I always felt they were too expensive to use on regular crates I didn't think about it being worth using on the special ones.

I'll get the Hydra once I get the hang of flying it, I've been trying it in GTA races shooting at NPC's, and if I ever stop spending my money before I get 3mil. I couldn't save enough in time when Warstock had everything 50% off.

Haha it doesn't always work for me. Most of the time I just end up in single player doing that. I guess my timing is a little off
