COKE HAS CHANGED THE GAME

R* put in a serious effort to bring something new to the table. I harvested 50 million gta$ with CEO missions solo.

 

Thankfully I do not have to put up with the antics of heist members anymore.

 

I got bored with grinding CEO missions, so the biker businesses are a great break from the beaten path. There are some gripes though.

 

The only businesses worthwhile are the coke and meth factories. It would be nice if R* would increase the payout of the other businesses. I got raided 3 times in one play session, despite having security.

 

Little Johnny Teabagged keeps calling me that businesses I have shut down are low on supplies.

 

The worst gripe is that I get again and again the post van delivery mission.

Agree with op. Me and my mates had been playing less bit this update has completely reinvigorated us. Yeah, it's revamped ceo, but it's revamped and improved. I feel the supply missions are better than the ceo crate Missions. There's mess risk cos u don't have to pay for supplies and don't lose everything on deliveries if someone peppers u. The clubhouse is cool, just the whole feel of cruising around on different bikes together. Didn't really think I'd be into it before the update but it's great! I now own 8 bikes, and never thought I'd own more than a Sanchez.

 

Plus, the businesses make money in the background. Without leaving freeroam all the time. U still get caught up in freeroam shenanigans while ur doing whatever and ur business just keeps ticking over.

 

I think the club contacts are a really cool change as well.

I don't mind if Pedro calls me from the COKE house telling me how it tastes, ect...sometimes...but the LESTER CLONE calls even if it's shut down!

I like the biker missions more, as well as the business format. I just wish R* dropped this whole "public session or no deal" thing.

 

 

Like, yeah, totally, a biker gang goes to sell some coke. Sounds somewhat normal so far. But wait, that biker gang is basically 3 dudes/girls with rainbow hair in 3 post OP vans posing as postmen (pretty clever... should have gone for postman outfits too, though). Okay, they might be a little stupid, but they're trying.

 

Except wait, there's a bunch of bloody fighter jets having an all out war above them because R* logic. Half the jets are dudes in worn out leather in spiked helmets, and the other half is wearing monkey masks and swimming trunks.

 

As it turned out, in order to safely sell a 400k coke shipment, you gotta invest 10+ million in a fleet of jets to defend yourself from... another 10+ million fleet of jets. Yeah, we're totally a biker gang. How exactly a bunch of bikers got hold of all that military hardware is another thing entirely.

 

And CEO, well... I'm willing to bet in GTA universe this stands for Chief Errand Operative. You're a CEO of a criminal organization. You employ like 3 goons you pay peanuts and one assistant who shoplifts snacks and makes phone calls for you, while you do all the grunt work of your organization.

 

Then you decide to sell your huge warehouse of random crap you stole off various gangs or even the cops. In a giant, military styled plane.

 

In a lobby full of jets, because why not. Hold on, where'd you get that plane from? Anyway...

 

Your 3 goons somehow pull out three jets out of nowhere... definitely not paid for with the money you're 'paying' them. And they engage in all out war with the monkey swimming trunk boys, while you fly around in a huge military plane over the city and drop Loot Crates for your clients.

 

Sure, it doesn't have to be like that, it probably will be.

 

 

Ok. I own 4 moneymakers and sell in full lobbies only. Pretty much on a daily basis and have not experienced your way over dramatized BS.

 

Same goes for most replies here. I peronally really enjoy this update.

If you are in LS lonewolfing. Fine, you can still do MC, but it is not worth the effort and basically means the MC is not for you. No big deal right, you can still do CEO, Races, adversory mode to heists and LTS.

 

I own 4maxed out warehouses and have no issues getting a crew together. We supply, we sell, we do missions and some challenges as a sort of salary. And most important we ride together, we heal eachother and give armor while being on a bike.

 

You go to bed with 150 - 200k in 2 hours while being in my MC. Most of you won't care anymore, but for a level 55 I guess this is a solid pay and a fun evening and so it is for me (little bigger cut though).

 

I don't like Madden because I don't like Americain Football. What do I do? I don' play that game.

It's just the CEO warehouse thing with a different name, nothing more. Don't really see how it made the game exciting unless you like to fool yourself into thinking selling coke in a video game somehow makes you Tony Montana.

At least you don't have to fly your buzzard across the map 3 times for 3 damn packages!

How did you even miss my point completely? Have you ever even filled a large CEO warehouse with a buzzard?

When you solo the MC resupply missions, you always get one package or vehicle per mission you have to take back to the business.

 

In the CEO crate missions however you sometimes get 3 crates which you have to fly back and forth between the same location. Which I find extremely mindnumbing!

 

Obviously, you'll have do the same resupply missions too, but at least they're not to the same location 3 times in a row!

 

Am I really the only one here who just can't cope with the 3 crate back and forth thing?

Tried it on shrooms too. The whole experience was incredibly overwhelming to me so I had to shut off my PS4 and tried watching some tv. At first I couldn't make up my mind about what to see but I ended up watching the movie Hairspray with John Travolta! A movie I would've never watched otherwise, but I somehow really loved it on shrooms.

 

Maybe we could open a thread about trip reports while playing GTA. The moderators probably wouldn't allow it...

I wouldn't be able to play the game in the first 2 hours of the trip. Too much going on in your head. But afterwards , I put on my personal music (including Glasslamp Killer - Nissim) and drove through the map on my cliffhanger. Never really liked motorcycles before that evening, haven't been driving anything else eversince.

 

After some time I did stunt races and I never will be as good as I was that evening... until the next trip.

It was distracting when my Frankenstange started talking to me and then my yacht melted into snakes.

 

On topic:

I own a coke warehouse but I keep it closed because my Meth operation is fully upgraded and has been successful so far. I got to the $1M mark faster and with less constant attention than the first $1M of CEO work. I'm still not profitable, yet, because of the startup costs (with all those upgrades), but at least if I throw a supply mission in every so often I can run a few crate jobs and slowly turn $222,000 into $2.22M and progress toward the gold statue.

The downside of Biker work is that you can't instantly spawn a Buzzard right next to you. Crossing that central mountain range is required as much as reloading weapons when supplying and the helipads aren't as convenient in the country as they are in the city.

 

MTU settings for the win. No D-bag players that just want to feel better about themselves by attacking players that aren't bothering them (while using overwhelming attack-vehicle advantages) and no player-generated invites to game modes and jobs as a bonus.

After these last updates, freeroam has really a lot of new activities to play, and if before it was just wandering around killing each other, now it's wandering arround killing each other but with actual goals and missions. If CEO was already content-rich, now you can even switch between rich criminal to motorclub leader for some extra fun.

 

However, these clearly changed other things for the negative. The short-lived freeroam events are an example, apparently those quite fun ones such as the king of the castle (I guess that's how it was called) seemingly disappeared, and races, missions or heists with randoms have noticeably less players. I guess if for one side players moved into these new stuff and left aside the older content, for the other Rockstar also cut some [good] content to give more emphasis to CEO and MC jobs.

It's kinda boring and I wish it wasn't. My main problem is people rarely join my MC. Some of the ones that do join, don't participate.
