So I'm at a stand still. I submitted a request to Rockstar to look into a matter for me. There was some back and forth via email, and they're rather quick to send you a confirmation that they are looking into your submission. The last email I sent received no such confirmation and it has been almost 24 hours since I submitted it. Where do I go next?

I suppose all you can do here is keep waiting, and if nothing comes of it within another few days, open another ticket.

Keep nagging them until they give you an answer. Either on the same ticket or open new ones.

 

R* has one of the worst customer support I've ever used, and EA of all people is above them.

Since you didn't explain let me guess, were you banned for no reason? If so the waiting list is long for that.

If not, don't expect a reply until you reopen the ticket and/or harass them.

Lol excpecting them to solve an issue within 24 hours. I had to wait 2 days before they solved my issue. It was a serious one aswell. In fact, the most serious one by the fact that some Turkish asshole hacked my account due to R*s amazing security.

What? You mean to say they don't have someone sitting waiting for you to contact them? Absolutely ludicrous(!)

 

Wait your turn, there'll be others in the queue ahead of you.

He mentioned getting back-and-forth emails, which would not be the case if it's a ban appeal - they'd just instantly give you an automated response and close the ticket.

As someone who has been at war with sending tickets to R* for the last three years, I am here to tell you flat out that Tier One support is made up of a combination of automated bots that are mostly illiterate and perhaps a few real people who haven't ever played the game or understand the basic mechanics of how things work. Good luck on reaching anyone from Tier II or higher; believe me, I've tried and it never seems to be even an option.

 

Unless the issue pertains to you or them losing money, consider your issues or concerns null and void; you will likely never receive a valid response or one that makes any sense from a logical standpoint.

 

The will either tell you to un-link and re-link your Social Club account; clear your browser history; or in many cases, reformat your entire PS4/Xbox. It's honestly all a rather sadistic and horrible joke.

 

Good luck though.

Like I said, I've had multiple exchanges via email and I sent them facts provided from their website to back up my case. Haven't even gotten the automated "We've received your submission" confirmation.

 

No I haven't been banned.

I'm nearly at 1 month waiting on my issue.

Don't worry everyone, the placeable fireworks we were promised for completing that valentines playlist are definitely coming, just like the singleplayer DLC

I don't think he's bothered about that to be honest. He does, and that's an issue.

I never saw the point of fireworks in the game and don't miss them.

 

Same reason for real life; just for fun and perhaps some nice pictures. :)

 

OT, but I simply cannot stop laughing at the latest addition piece to Mr Zombly's signature. :lol:

Yeah support sucks, I wanted some help and information about bad sport and they would always say the same things. Incorrect information or flat out lies. Get commended to help reduce the sentence, don't get reported it will increase time, don't blow up cars it will increase time... no rockstar support, it does not, not from my experience, blew up many cars and not one day was added. On top of that Rockstar, how does one get commended in bad sport when bad sports can only play with other bad sports and Bad sports can't commend? How does one get reported when the same thing, players can only play with other bad sports and bad sports can't report each other? Among other stuff...

 

... I'm assuming things were different at launch for BS and that's the information they were going off of, however incorrect that might have been.

 

Also lost some money with an impound glitch. Everytime my car got impounded it wouldn't show up. The mechanic said it was impounded, I know it was because it just happened. No icon, no vehicle, nothing. They responded that's how it has always been.... no rockstar support that's not how's it's always been. I lost something like 100k. Big deal I know but it's the principal. Never did get that money back. Truthfully I wasn't expecting too.

 

Other stuff that upset me was them telling me they can only remove someone from BS once.. that's a flat out lie I watched them remove one player multiple times on support.

 

One plus was they did let me out when my timer was stuck on 0y/0m/0d although I had to wait like 48 hours and send a few messages back and forth in my ticket.

 

All and all rockstar support gets a whopping 2/10 for frustration.

Their support often moves at a glacial pace, so don't get your hopes up too much. As others have already said, polite but persistent nagging may often be in order.

 

Took them nearly two weeks to decide I actually should get the money from the Shark Card I got for free when I bought the game, for instance, although only a few days to fix a disappearing car glitch for me, so it varies.

Maybe my BS experience was bugged though because my timer was stuck on 0y2m2d for awhile when another stay it got stuck at 0y0m0d and my time never increased once. So maybe my end was bugged and don't know what I'm talking about. I did hear people in the lobby that said they were going to hack me into BS and shortly after I got kicked and sent to BS for over two months and that was when my timer was stuck, right after I got the boot I got a message through ps3 that said "lol hacked" but I thought they were bullsh*t ting. That could be why I had a buggy experience. I didn't think too much of it though because I've already been in and out of BS at that point and it wasn't a huge problem, I was on my way back anyway plus I didn't know what "hackers" could even do, still don't know what they are capable of. Still not sure if the asshole was the one that put me in there. Maybe him and his buddies just reported me i don't know.

It's luck of the draw, the three times I've had to send in a ticket (Sultan/Banshee upgrades disappearing, delayed cash rebate for T20, and character editing request) were all handled pretty quick and amicably. Also gave me 1.2 million cash for my Sultan/Banshee troubles and that T20 cash rebate was deposited four times for some odd (but appreciated) reason.

 

Did the OP ever give the details for his support issue?
