Force first-person animations and hide face/head textures?

I'm trying to find the same thing! I've done all the ped flags but none seem to do anything. But, CamxxCore said it's something to do with two values in the metadata that determine whether to draw the head and body mesh of the player in the first person camera scripts via reverse engineering. Also if you notice going into first person and looking into the mirror with a different ped model makes you lose your head.

Interesting, I didn't know that! Do you know the name of the first-person script(s)? I was really hoping it to be a ped flag that just wasn't documented in the nativeDB. Reverse engineering is waaay out of my reach lol.

I wonder if CamxxCore has made any progress on this?

Yeah he's made some progress but is trying to pinpoint the values. Also I think the first person camera scripts are internal.

 

Take a look at this video, there was this GTA Online glitch where you can remove your head, maybe it is some UNK native or Camera native, I've tried a lot of things looking at the strip club and lap dance script but to no avail, maybe gotta look some more :(. I remember in GTA IV there was a draw component visible/invisible function.

 

 

EDIT: I actually think the GTA Online headless thing is just some invalid component variation for the head index because if you set it to 420 or something ridiculous it hides the head, too bad it doesn't work on other models though, although I didn't see any component variation changes in the lapdance decompiled scripts.

Hmm.. if that works for the main characters, that workaround may suffice for my needs for now. I've never modded GTA 4 but a native to hide/show components sounds sweet! Maybe it's somewhere out there lol

On another note, I've searched through the camera and task/AI natives, and even movement styles, trying to force first-person animations while in third-person, to no avail! I've thought about completely replacing all the animations manually with a script but that would take so much time, especially knowing that there is a flag or something out there that can do it automatically :(

There is a mod that lets you use first person animations called Quantum something that slows down time maybe you can decompile lmao

Quantum Break? I have it but never noticed that. I'd be lying if I said I never decompiled before lol, thanks for the hint :whistle:

Hey bro, would you mind sharing the code you used for your dismemberment mod? It doesn't feel right just taking it by decompiling, I want to ask you personally. Of course, if CamxxCore is cool with that too. I have use for it in my Drive Modes mod :)
