Too many loading screens

The worst thing about GTA online is the loading screens. There are so many of them. The worst part is finishing a job and loading to go back in game. It takes 5 minutes sometimes. It's not my PC or internet. It's a problem with the online game. I hope the next GTA online or uture update makes the online experience more streamlined and player friendly. At the moment, it is confusing and takes a lot of time. Sometimes I press ctrl alt delete just to close down the game when it's loading because it is just so slow...

Load into an invite only session and it'll take less than ten seconds. From there, choose another job.

I am assuming you are being sarcastic, otherwise i would say "what the hell are you talking about. this is a problem for almost everyone because its a problem with GTA the game".

An update can't fix it as the foundation the game was created on is what requires so much loading and the slow (and inefficient) matchmaking.

Load Screens aka Cloud Simulator... aka.. The reason why i smoke so much damn weed playing this game, because im stuck in the clouds constantly..lol

 

 

Its one of the reason why i hate playing any sort of jobs in this damn game. Try joining a job... ok. But theres 50% chance il end up loading into something that won't fully load.. Then lag out.. and have to sit through another load screen. And then theres a 25% chance i won't actually load into online and get stuck loading back into single player. Where i now have to load back into online again..

 

And of course theres a 10% chance the game loads a black screen when loading back to single player. So now i gotta reboot the game..

 

And basically that describes my entire GTA O experience... Its one the reason why i stay in free roam as much as i can..lol

1.36 has clearly made loading times longer for me (and getting stuck in the cloud to where a game restart is required) compared to previous updates. Proof? I've heard parts of the loading music that I'd never heard before, including where it ends, and starts back at the beginning... first time for me since playing GTA Online on the PC (or PS3 for that matter, which I transferred from).

 

I always use the second option (Play GTA Online) in Steam when running it:

 

 

No question about that; sessions are fuller though--most are now 27-30 players, with an occasional 4-5 person session or less.

 

Also been getting notably more disconnects and errors in general...and no, it's not my Internet connection or ports (had those checked out with my ISP).

 

Bottom line: pre-1.36 ran faster and better for me overall.

That would actually be possible on an air cooled CR.

My connection overall is good. I can load into a invite only session with friends in the U.S. in a very reasonable time. Public sessions? Sometimes it's quick, sometimes slow, sometimes minutes of clouds, sometimes connection errors forcing a return to SP. Since it's PTP, perfectly possible for the session host to be running on bad wireless from across the planet.

PS3 was pretty crap too. Had good days and bad days when it came to loading

What bloody game are you guys playing? The loading times in GTA Online are the most drawn out tedious sh*t.

Load screens are why CEO/Biker stuff went over so well. All the missions and cash making opportunities of jobs/heists minus spending half of your time staring at clouds. I used to run about 2-5 heists a day, I havent played more than 1 since CEO/Biker dlc dropped and I'm making way more money with way fewer disconnects and time wasted in the sky.
