FeisalAR
Hello lads and lasses! Apparently, you can mod the pedestrian models (or "skins") and replace them with entirely different model now. This gentleman Zagor made a tutorial video on making this type of mods : While the video itself is pretty easy to follow, there are many little details and methods that still need some explaining. So, It'd be great if the experienced modelers here could make a definitive and standardized guide of pedestrian model conversioning for V. I think the guide should be based on a simple ped model that a beginner modeler can follow easily, and focuses on the fundamentals of converting a ped model only. I dunno much but maybe it should cover: Required programs & plugins Simple explanation of the file formats (.ydd, .ytd, etc.) Explanations of body parts, alternative clothes, accessories, etc Rules of naming the files and body parts Bone/skeleton system, a bit of rigging, and animations thingy Details of materials and textures thing OpenIV basics Other important things Please please please share your knowledge this will help the V modder community a lot and improve V's aesthetics. Thank you in advance.
