Easiest way to get into a public session alone

I've tried most of these methods and they're not working for me

Unplugging your internet cable from the back of your router (while your in a public session) for 7 seconds should work, I've been doing it for the past week now it normally works 100% after you plug it back in after waiting 7 seconds everyone on your map should freeze and not move. After that it will say everyone has left your session, I do this everytime now, normally randoms will not join. If they do just repeat the same progress again.

the easiest way is to go into an invite only session, the only way you get anyone else in the same session then is to invite them.

on PS4 all you have to do is set you date forward/back a month, screen will freeze, wait 10-20seconds, see player left, player left, player left... change date back, good to go!

 

Exactly, this is the by far easiest for PS4 but most seems to completely ignore it in these types of threads...

 

It works 2 out of 3 times, the 3rd time it closes down the game but all you have to do is restart and do it again.

 

No changing "complicated" connectivity settings which would also be a pain if you would actually like to free roam in a session with others in it or do a heist or mission. With the "date fix" all you have to do is find a new session if you want it.

 

 

The first time i ever tried it crashed my game. we'll see how it goes the second time...

The only time it has crashed me is when I took too long.

 

I usually change it, go back to the game, count to 10, then change it back. Works every time.

 

Only downside to the method is if you invite a friend to help you, your session will fill back up in 5-10 minutes usually. Gives you a head start, but you're still vulnerable to trolls if you have more than 2 vehicles to do.

A friend of mine figured out a way to create actual public invite only sessions. It's amazing. My friends can help me/i can help them with crates, and not a single random will be able to join. Usually if you're with three people, the sessions fill up so quickly. Had to split sessions like every 20 mins before that.

This is one of the reasons many of us such as I will either leave or kick other people when they join the session. I discovered the same thing you did that with every player in a session the chances of more joining increases.

There been sessions of mine I started alone, a second dude joins in, which increased the chances of a third and so forth and so on and fast forward about 10 minutes I have 15 players in my session with more flooding in.

If a third joins just kick them on the spot, don't feel bad about it, its not your fault the chances of more players flooding in increases with each player in the session.

​Changing the mtu worked for me last night but today it isn't making a difference. NAT still open, can't get into an empty lobby. Any ideas?

MTU at 800 seems very stable. Although players did eventually arrive which meant a nervy final crate pick up. Overloading my bandwidth with devices seems to have no effect.

You probably only changed the month, which is all you need to do usually, but this month is December, last month of the year, so you need to change the month forward by one and the year forward by one..

You can't do it on the Xbox one unless you are offline, that's why if I want a public to myself I'll unplug my internet cable for around 7 seconds usually lags you out in less than a minute.
