Easiest way to get into a public session alone

Does anyone know the easiest way to get into a public session on your own, have tried finding a new session hundreds of times but always getting spawned into full sessions. Also lag switches are no longer working everytime I try one it will say " Connection to the session has been lost due to an unknown network error" both these meathods used to work but they no longer work anymore. Does anyone know any other ways of getting into one by yourself?

I try to run as many data heavy stuff as possible at the same time. I play YouTube vids on highest settings on my phone and update apps stuff like that. Then turn it off immediately after the session becomes empty. Once its empty very rarely do people join. Strict NAT helps too

I really need empty sessions for MC work. People seem more inclined to go after MC product than crates. And MC delivery vehicles are weak and slow

I'm only really familiar with a ps4 setup but when you come to setup your network connectivity settings change MTU from 1800 to 500, this will always put you in a public session alone.

Once you want to play public again change it back to 1800

I don't own a PS4, mtu settings can't be changed on the Xbox one.

Lagswitch. You gotta find the right timing, it still works for me.

Disconnent a few wires in the patch cable for 7 seconds or so and switch back on, they will all "leave" the lobby.

I use one on my PC called xLag, it used to lag everyone out the session within a few minutes. But now I just get disconnected from the session instead.

is there a web browser on XB1? If so try entering your IP address as the URL, that should connect you to your router if you have one. From your router you can change your MTU setting.

Bugger, looking at this again I got the numbers wrong. Change 1500 to 800 for lonely public sessions and reverse it for public games. Sorry for the misinformation...which might be useless anyway if you don't need it but hey!

I've logged into my router before from my PC, but didn't see any options to change my MTU settings. Plus I've just spawned in one with another player who left after 10 minutes, normally everyday I come online I'm always being spawned in full sessions and only on my own if lucky.

The MTU setting is also in your router, you can switch to solo on the fly from a router.

The mtu settings are in the advanced network setting under the listed clnetwork connections. For everyone it will be different so you have to find yours. My isp has an app that gives me full control over my network. Maybe yours does as well. Good luck.

check again most rioters have it set to automatic 1500, if you click manual you can lower it and no one will be able to join except friends. You might even have to invite them if the friend list shows you as offline.

That's the easiest way imo.

Ps4: start in full session. Start a job, leave job and mostly youre in a public lobby on your own.

Have several livestreams running at once. That always got me into empty sessions. Then you can close them all and enjoy peaceful selling

Have just had a look on advanced settings, and can't seem to find anything to do with my mtu settings. So I'm pretty sure it cannot be changed on my router at all.

Someone in here told me to lower mt NAT settings? to 1600 and that would work.

But I can just change sesh about three times and get solo now.

Network>network connection>broadband/Ethernet>settings

I clicked find new session at least 30 times earlier but still wasn't on my own, eventually I spawned with 1 person who left after 10 minutes.

You peoples are working too hard at this.

Step 1: Stand up and walk over to your router.

Step 2: Unplug the ethernet cord from your router to your modem and count to 5.

Step 3: Plug it back in.

Step 4: Walk back over to your seat and enjoy an empty server

If people join, repeat.

I've already tried this numerous of times but never works, always comes up saying connection lost to Xbox live. Or it doesn't come up saying everyone has left the session.

Are you unplugging the cord from your console to router? Or the cord from your modem to your router?

Router cause I'm using it on wireless, it's the cord that goes from the router to the internet socket in the wall.

So that sounds like your modem and router are the same unit. Not sure what to do for you there. If they were two separate units it would work, it's what I do and I'm on XB1.

The router connects to the phone line via a cord, normally if I make my connection slower while loading into a session it normally takes much longer to load and I end up spawning in with fewer people.

I used to be able to perform this on my PC-ethernet plug with a great resultrate of about 80%... After the release of the new bikes this week it's increasingly more difficult to lag myself out. Not to say impossible with my old method (Disconnect plug, count to 7 and reconnect).. "Connection lost to unknown error"... Every time... They definitely changed something there... I have an alternate method taht involves USB-disconnecting my external sound card, but its success-rate is much lower... And when it goes wrong, I have to restart GTA... But on the other hand, when succesful the othe rplayers stay away... The previous method, if for some good fortune successful, Always fill us up faster than you can lag out... Unbelievably fast these days...

Like some mentioned already, the MC-stuff can't be sold (solo) in public session. Those delivery vehicles are so damn slow, especially the postal delivery (what a frigging piece of nerf wrecking BS). CEO-crate collecting no problem, but MC resupplies.. no thx...And for selling; I can only 100% sell with one delivery method and that's with the four motorcycle deliveries that start of with a first bogus delivery where the police is waiting for you, before you can start with the real four deliveries... All the other sales, I just immediately count in the loss of 1/3 of 420k when I'm doing it solo... I used to be pissed about it, nowadays I immediately count in that loss, before even starting it up.. If I'm Lucky I obtain the 420K, but more often than not, I end up with around 300K... When the postal vans appear, I lag out.. I ain't doing them solo, as I want to destroy my screen/PC after 30mins of this slow speed (uphill) torture... Without any doubt one of the most hated parts (on my behalf) of GTA-online...

Well the way to do it on the PC version is really easy using Windows Firewall with Advanced Security but I can't help too much here as it's Xbox One.

Only way ive gotten into one on Xbox one is constantly finding new sessions which doesn't always spawn you in on by yourself. Lag switchs no longer work either as I now just get disconnected and sent back to story mode.
