ill see what i can do but i dont think its necessary for now as in the game it actually looks more chrome rather than gold , maybe due to the time cycle but

it looks more of a silver weapon

 

a nice lightly tinted gold uzi looks awesome and really catches the vice city vibe

I can still notice it in the first picture. It just looks like a very saturated gold, but still noticeable enough.

Okay I'll see what I can do, all the other weapons are fine the only ones that need to be changed in my opinion are the spaz 12 to white spaz, the ruger to orange, the mp5 to chrome or white mp5 and in my opinion the revolver was kinda low res so I threw this one in but yeah.... Also maybe even add in the katana but it's gona replace the pool cue or bat, the thing is it's all preference becuase the poolcue was originally in vice city and the baseball Batt currently replaces the nightstick

So what the community wants more I guess

I don't know if you ever found anyone to make you a trailer. But I'd love the opportunity, in fact I downloaded your TC to use the editor to make some videos for fun, stuff that would recapture the magic of when I first played it. I do have experience with not only editing, and trying to keep it cinematic, but I've also used the rockstar editor, now I'll include a few examples of my work, but as for my passion with the neo-80s, recently I've been really revisting Miami Vice and playing Vice City, and just soaking in the atmosphere, the new resurgence of Neo-Neon-Noir has been a blessing, with films like Drive, and even Rockstars own inspirations like Michael Mann, The Warriors (I like to think GTA is set in some universe similar to the warriors, or the same one, since Sam and Dan said this was their favorite film growing up, and most influential on their style, although I do seem to be having trouble, when I access the editor and try to edit the footage it seems the editor's text and UI is completely blank for me.

Well, sure.Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

@FearlessFox, why would you keep the brown-ish painted ruger instead of the green-ish one, considering the color in the original game was green?Makes no sense to me, but people are free to change their weapon models to whatever they please.

 

Also, there is already a script that makes the tank come at the 6th wanted level.

What about the Vice Squad at 3 stars and the FBI at 5 stars? I never saw those in gameplay videos. Also, why does every total conversion with Vice City's map never use Vice City's sirens? Don't worry about the second question. I was just wondering and I am perfectly fine with the San Andreas sirens that everybody keeps putting. Another thing I wonder: Is the fire department in this game still useless like in GTA IV?

No the color of the ruger in the very first vice city1.0 was a wooden finish / orange color I can assure you this 100% becuase I played the he'll out of this game as a kid but the rugers color was changed in a future patch of vice city and even onto the pc versions of the game into what you know it as greenish, personally I like the wooden finish better it looks better and just flows more with my childhood

I didn't even know the wooden color made it past the beta version.

No worries mate I'm not tryna Bash your mod, I was only trying to help out if I can, I just simply thought that maybe you or whoever did the weapons maybe didn't find the wooden ruger model to put it so i was just trying to give a hand...

I just prefer this ruger model as this is how I grew up with and how I know My Vice city

NICE!!! There's currently a tank in the game that always beats the f*ck outa me but those Barracks and military coming threw is what this mod needs!!!

Yeah I remember the first retail runs of The Ruger being brown, I believe like the sights and rail on the M4 (In the original releases they were not backwards) were backwards in later versions. I loved the wooden version of the Ruger simply because it was so popular in the 80s, due to it's full-auto capability and ability to fire 5.56, also it's infamous for the 1986 Miami FBI shootout, where 2 armed robbers got into a bloody firefight with 8 or so FBI agents, and his Mini-14 was the thing that kept the FBI agents at bay, the shootout sort of became dubbed "Real life Miami Vice" because of how insane the firefight was.

 

Anyways I'm wondering if it was a copyright reason, where they were forced to alter the look of the guns since they may have based them completely on copyrighted variants (Whereas in later games they'd alter the color or overall look of the gun and try to use fictional or airsoft designs)

I notice in the mod I see the same vehicles everywhere, everywere I turn is the same group of vehicles

Almost like the popcycle only has 8 vehicles to spawn

You're probably right. i haven't checked out the cargrps.dat (or whatever it's called) or anything but I know that a good amount of the vehicles are still IV's and are left out on purpose.

Yes I was gona look into adding more now not sure how as I've never done but I've done some pretty good modding so ima see if I can fix it myself, I noticed there are some vehicles that don't spawn and they are in the files and are vice city converted meaning there suppose too I think but never see them, always see the same pair, cheetah. Corvette, sentinnell buccaneer banshee, some bikes, tank, police limo, infernus and I feel like that's it.. I was watching some footage of the previous build and seen some vehicles in the street that I've never seen spawn in my game before and I've played it for hours and hours..Ima see if I can fix this but adding more variety would be amazing!!

Looking forward too it if I can't figure it out

There are actually plenty of vehicles on the road.Don't forget that not every vehicle has been converted from the original game.

And not really, there isn't much I can do to improve upon the mod.

 

P.S: Merry Christmas to all the fans who have been dedicated to the mod :santa:

Really amazing work I see Lexyz!

I have the EFLC latest steam version and When I downgraded to 1.0.7.0 OF the elfc version and after copying gta vc rage files , my game just shows a black screen

Would you send me a link of just the vc rage game only? Can show proof i got the steam game aswell.

Textures shouldn't be disappearing, that must be a problem on your end.

EFLC version , my normal game runs fine with 1.1.3.0 without rage

The game requires GTA IV 1.0.7.0, not EFLC

EDIT: I'll keep my EFLC Copy just seperate , i'm gonna download Gta IV from steam and check.

IV versions are 1070 and 1080

EFLC versions are 1120 and 1130

 

Apply 1070 to IV (minus the installers folder and paul.dll file)

Having

Vsync off doesn't work well on the loading screen and title menu, just turn it on, 60fps is all you need anyway imo,

 

But interesting for some reason textures only start disappearing on the north part of the second island , I've looked up some solutions but none of them seemed to work I got a good pc rig so that's not the issue

 

Would love some feedback of some fixes for this from anyone on this forum
