mondlos
I'm a GTA V Modding Newbie (we all have to start somewhere) and since I switched to Visual Studio Code recently and I use .NET Core now, my question is if you can use .NET Core to create GTA V Mods. In many tutorials for example this one: http://gtaforums.com/topic/401577-iv-net-writing-net-scripts-in-c/ you have to include System.Windows.Forms. What is the purpose of System.Windows.Forms if I'm creating a GTA V Mod and are there any other things I have to consider when using .NET Core for GTA V Modding? Is it even possible? futureproof
Just use .NET 4.6. .NET Core is aimed at cross platform (web) apps and doesn't have the windows.form namespace that you need to create gta mods. In your example it's used for it's keyeventhandler. You could in theory use .net core to write gta mods but you would miss a lot of features if you want pure .net core or you would have to mess around with configurations files to have the 4.X dependencies and .net core at the same time. mondlos
Thanks! I think that I'm going to mess around a little with the project.json . I probably will post in this Thread how I got Windows.Forms to work in .NET Core once I have succeed, if I find a good Website or Thread that explains that I'm gonna post it too .
