Heidi McCourt & The Facts We Know

So I was watching some old RDR videos and I happen to notice that the "Strange Man" mentions a potential clue for a next game mission. If you notice any other storyline "clues" post it below...

 

 

So if you believe the prequel allegations and the leaked map, as I do, we can assume that Dutch van der Linde is going to be a key component in the next storyline. Based on the above, I would assume that there is a possibility of a steamboat robbery (and I know this is a stretch) near the wreck of Serendipity. That may or not have been planned out since the beginning, but notice how on the leaked map the Serendipity location is called 'Quakers Cove". Thus implying that the location predates the shipwreck...

 

Not only would this be a clever nod to the original game, but it would allow for some gameplay use of Flatiron lake. Boats have been confirmed and Blackwater has a port for steamboats so...

 

...in summary, expect a ferry robbery in Red Dead Redemption 2

I've been thinking about that myself, and I think the Heidi dialogue as well as the Serendipity wreck point to the demise of the gang in 1906.

 

My only question about that fairly popular line of thinking is: why wouldn't John recognize the Serendipity as the riverboat they robbed just 5 years before? Granted, he didn't remember the girl he shot either, but he probably didn't know her by name. Seems like he would've recognized a ship and location that played such a major role in his life though.

Good point, but I wouldn't say it played a major role in his life. Could have just been one robbery out of hundreds. Stuff all floods together.

I can't remember where I seen it, but I read an interview with a Rockstar employee after the first game, where he said they had a lot of ideas that weren't used and could be used in the future. I think we may see this and several other things mentioned in RDR.

I was thinking exactly about that. Some people are saying it Abigail but to me it would make more sense to be this Heidi McCourt that "the devil" mentioned

^ Not to go too off-topic but isn't the Strange Man actually God? The last time you see him, John yells at him, "Damn you!" and he calmly replies with, "Many have." Or something to that effect. My theory is that the Strange Man only showed up because he knows that John's life will come to an end soon and he tests John to see if he will do good deeds to redeem himself before he is judged at the gates of Heaven.

 

Since I'm still on that topic, I wonder if we'll see the Strange Man in RDR2 around the time this speculated mission takes place. This may be one of the last missions of the game.

Yeah, i guess nobody knows what he really is. Some say he's god, others the devil, others Jonh conscience,etc.

I mean it would make sense for her to be Heidi Mcourt since dutch goes cazy he wouldn't have any second thoughts about killing one of his gang members and apparently she only trusts the main character ,so tension rises between heidi and dutch resulting in her death ,kind of like in GTA IV with faustin killing Andrei
