Once all the functional and historically sentimental areas are eliminated - South/East Los Santos, La Puerta, Lil Seoul, etc... we can get on with the important part of the game - deciding which is the best district in today's Los Santos. In the meantime, it's about preserving the historical importance of certain areas of the city. Everyone knows what downtown is (the working city), and what the airport does, but who understands the importance of Grove Street in South Los Santos and the Maze Bank Arena in La Puerta (stock car racing anyone?). Glad to see these areas surviving into the 7th page, through the support of the old GTA school.

Is it just me or is Vinewood Boulevard really underwhelming, I don't get any feeling of glamour or razzmatazz at all. I think it's partly down to the lack of peds/tourists and the fact that there's as much traffic on a remote country road as there is in one of the most famous roads in the world. It's all a bit meh.

South LS has real character. It has some run down businesses with pretty worn pastel colours painted over. There's tons of detail, I always manage to find something I've never noticed before. Again It has great colour, the outfits, the graffiti, the cars, the buildings; I'd say out of all the districts it has the most distinctive character.

(+1) Downtown. The tall buildings are good for sniping, general PvP, hiding behind in a helicopter - not to mention it's one of the only places you've got much of a chance in a heli vs jet fight (thanks to skyscrapers getting in the jet's way).


(-2) South LS. It just doesn't do it for me. The accuracy of the AI makes it an irritating place to be (in my opinion), and while effort's obviously gone in, it just doesn't quite have the same vibe as the old place did to me:
