Welcome to Districts Elimination Game

The object of this is to pick a winner from all the Districts described below.


The Rules:
● You add one point (+1) to your favorite district and subtract two points (-2) which you can split (-1) (-1) for your least favorite(s).
● It isn't allowed to add and subtract from the same district in one vote.
● You're only responsible for changing the score to reflect your vote, not the person before you.
● You can vote once per day (every 24 hours). You can do it after 21 hours minimum, but if it becomes a habit it will not be allowed.
● When we are down to the last three, you need to vote after 24 hours. Voting earlier than 24 hours is no longer an option at this point.
● Copy and paste the list from the last person before you. This helps out everyone to see what the scores are and we can prevent disinformation from spreading through the game.
● Do not use multiple accounts, this is not allowed and action will be taken if you are found to be doing this.
● Only vote in these games if you have been a forum member for two weeks at least. If the person above you hasn't been a member for a least two weeks, then you should ignore their vote.
● If the person before you votes wrong (not forgetting to write the correct scores, but doesn't vote as the first rule implies), you shall ignore that vote.
● If you are new to this game do as the regulars do. If you disagree; they are right, and you are wrong. Accept that or leave this thread.

The Districts:

Downtown (Downtown Los Angeles)
Downtown is the financial center of Los Santos and its most urbanised area, with the presence of the tallest high-rises in the city, including the huge Maze Bank Tower, the FIBand IAA buildings, the Union Depository and the Mile High Club, still under construction. The district is divided into the neighborhoods of Pillbox Hill, Mission Row, Textile City and Legion Square.

South Los Santos (South Los Angeles)
An economically depressed, predominantly African-American area of the city, characterized by street gangs and low-income housing projects. South Los Santos is divided into the neighborhoods of Strawberry, Rancho, Chamberlain Hills and Banning, and also contains the incorporated city of Davis.

East Los Santos (East Los Angeles)
A large district with a high concentration of Latino residents and a strong gang presence, in particular the Los Santos Vagos and the Marabunta Grande. Although the district is primarily industrial, it has been experiencing gentrification over the last years. East Los Santos is split into the neighborhoods of La Mesa, Cypress Flats, El Burro Heights and Murrieta Heights.

Rockford Hills (Beverly Hills)
Predominantly a shopping and residential area, Rockford Hills is an affluent incorporated city that merged into Los Santos. The iconic Portola Drive is a major tourist attraction in the city. The district also contains the smaller neighbourhood of Burton in the southeast.

Vinewood (Hollywood)
A large and affluent district, famous for being the home of the entertainment industry and for its theaters and nightclubs. Vinewood is divided into the neighborhoods of Alta, Hawick, Downtown Vinewood, West Vinewood, East Vinewood and Mirror Park.

Vinewood Hills (Hollywood Hills)
Notable for its views of Los Santos, the iconic Vinewood Sign and its expensive homes and celebrity inhabitants.

Richman (Bel Air, Holmby Hills)
A rich, high-class neighborhood known for its large luxury mansions. The Los Santos Golf Club is located here, making it an exclusive recreation area.

Morningwood (Westwood)
A quiet and wealthy commercial and residential neighborhood, known for its historic theaters.

Little Seoul (Koreatown, Wilshire)
Located in Central Los Santos, Little Seoul is a middle class district with an ethnically diverse population, home to Korean and Asian inmigrants.

Del Perro (Santa Monica)
A laidback, trendy beachfront community widely known for its beach and the world famous Pleasure Pier.

Vespucci (Venice)
A residential, commercial and recreational beachfront neighborhood known for its canals, beaches and a world-famous front walk. Vespucci is split into the neighborhoods of Vespucci Beach, Vespucci Canals and Puerto Del Sol.

La Puerta (San Pedro)
A community with strong roots in the fishing and longshoring industry, La Puerta is primarily industrial and sparsely populated. The district is the home of the Maze Bank Arena.

Los Santos International Airport (Los Angeles International Airport)
One of the busiest airports in the world. The LSIA district is also the location of the airport's nearby warehouses, hotels and restaurants.

Port of Los Santos (Port of Los Angeles)

The major seaport for the city of Los Santos and the busiest port in America. It is split into two areas: Elysian Island, the location of Pier 400, the Naval Port, shipyards and various warehouses, and Terminal, a maritime container terminal.

Pacific Bluffs (Pacific Palisades)
Home to the world-famous Kortz Centre museum, Pacific Bluffs is the entrance gate to western Los Santos. Like neighboring Richman, it is predominantly a high-class residential district with a low population density.

Del Perro is pretty much the centre of all my properties, it's also central to any businesses I need to get to. Nice view of the sea, close to a road to get outta the city, pretty much home.

Just waiting for those beach-houses to become available.

The ports are often a hassle to maneuver and retrieve crates from with all the heavy vehicles and tight roads.

(+1) Vinewood. I was thinking of upvoting the airport (everyone knows why), but I don't like those cop that just gun you down if you do anything there. I've had some good battles around Vinewood, and I like all the buildings you can get on top of (plus you can get in that bank nearby). It's quite a good place for PvP.

I like the beach and Del Perro area. My favourite garage (muscles) is in Del Perro as is my entire CEO operation.

 

I'll downvote areas I'm indifferent about, one of which is the port. The grey boringness of the area reminds me of GTA4 which isn't a positive for me.

Always happy to revitalize South LS by clearing out the purple infidels and the non-believers. Since the events in the city 20 years ago, the hood has lost its sense of purpose and the youngins in the "Families" just don't have the heart we OJs demand. It shames me to see Grove dominated by the Ballas but I'm always eager to take them on, even if I have to do it myself.

 

With my clubhouse at Rancho / Hayes Garage, I have a base in this part of the map and I seek to revive the area. I appreciate it's proximity to key avenues and points of interest. There's the Hospital Pegasus spawn, two convenience stores, Benny's, a clothing store and of course, a barber salon. Whether traveling downtown, to the airport and Vespucci helipad, the aquaduct & the LSC close to Murrieta, East LS or even the docks, nothing is too far away.

 

Since most of the urban violence and crime takes place in Del Perro, Vinewood and Downtown, it's a nice place to chill out and conduct business on the low without having to fly up North/go passive.

Please don't eliminate South Los Santos already, the Icantthink/Amy/-LN-/etc clique. I think you're all great, but this is the most historical part of the entire city and its history goes back to the beginning of GTA.

 

I often drive around Chamberlain Hills and muse at where 'Gerald' and 'Franklin' live, and see the lads dressed in Grove St. green on every corner, and then drive south across the freeway, past the gas station and into Grove St. itself (which is classified in-game as Davis), sometimes to pick up a gang Ballas purple Tornado, and then over the railway track and into Rancho to see if any yellow Vagos gang cars spawn there.

Sure the AI is ridiculous if you open fire in any of these areas, but please be aware, these are the gang-run areas of Los Santos and if anyone opens fire or steals a car then the whole street will come down on you and 'take you out'. Community!

 

I can't remember how many times I've taken a random drive into Grove St. itself just to muse at CJ's house and Ryder's next door. Just to relive the experience of GTA San Andreas - my most awesome gaming experience.

Morningwood and East LS are my favourites.I'll go for these two districts.I prefer Ponsonby's in Morningwood,good place to take a walk,hide,roleplay and relax.Mid and low end homes there.

East LS is a beautiful place for a sniper.Rooftops,bridges,industrial place where almost no one lives.A bit grey and boring but it's a place to hide and run your business.

Easy one for me... Little Seoul all the way! How can I possibly downvote a place with scenery like this?

 

 

That's the block where I live - my flat is the one on the corner just above the big 'H' sign. Even comes with a 2-car garage! I know right, living in the lap of luxury

 

-2 to Vinewood Hills because driving through there (particularly in Postal Vans) is nothing short of an exercise in frustration in a seemingly endless maze of dense hedges and vapid entitlement.

I'm going to give my -2 to Vinewood Hills. Those windy streets are a pain to navigate and I keep getting stuck on driveways.

Ahh, haha, no worries; I honestly couldn't decide what to vote against in the first round, but I agree--I happen to love history and historic places, so I definitely see where you're coming from.

 

Although I may have to vote in favour of the places by the water and beach for a bit; I just love Del Perro and Vespucci so much.

I understand we're all passionate about our choices and so on, but let's all try to get along and have fun. It's not something worth fighting or arguing over; I like all of you and I always have a great time taking a few minutes out of my day to vote and see where things are headed. Comments, reasons, etc for our votes or down votes should be welcome and it should be perfectly alright if we agree or disagree. I don't think anyone here votes out of contempt against someone else, and that's definitely a positive thing here on this forum where strong opinions and arguments are often quite common.
